Many years back, when we had nights, the driver going in to Manchester was followed by the cops. They wanted him to stop, but he carried on until he got where he was going. They couldn't do a thing.krussel wrote:I think even the police have to follow you back to the office yard before they can start a search, unless they have a warrant.Stormproof wrote:Not too bad today, a Wednesday like a Tuesday![]()
I deliver to an army barracks and they were on some sort of alert, they were just about to search the van when it come over their radios that they are not allowed to check my van, too be honest I forgot all about that. Last week I was met by about 30 Gurkas charging down the middle of the road in full battle gear

Got into work today to find someone else tying up my wee bit of duty. And thought, oh sheeeeeeeet! After all my emails yesterday, turned out stand in manager had me covering something else instead. Thought my head was on chopping board lol

3 hrs and 5 mins. Not the heaviest of days but bad enough. Even managed to pop in and sort out a glitch on mums lap top as I was passing.

Not too bad on the letters but got hammered with packets, 3 sacks. Apparently they failed big time on them yesterday so we paid the price today

Tuesday, quieter than Monday, good job with an hour less to play with.
Different story Wednesday. Much busier. More flats and we caught up with the packets after 2 quiet days for them. Rep went off with the DOM some place for a meeting regarding the impending changes. Hopefully we may start to hear something of the plans soon.

Massive amounts of parcels today (friday), it's almost as if they were all held up somewhere. Monday/Tuesday I had hardly any..
