Quit now, hen, and go into politics.

They're all quite partial to 'back-door' payments. Allegedly. :whistle

tbt: Ever since this national agreement has been around Del have spoken about how they are being hard done by! Yet it appears that extra payments above their basic are given when it is just extra workload. Extra workload or new products going through MCs is absorbed into the workload, the rise of tracked especially. I give up its not just worth arguing! Its to late anyway bloody Tories are in and we will be privatised in the near future!

I think you will find that the majority of election material was prepped outside Royal Mail time AND members were not allowed to book overtime if delivering election material meant they were working outside of their contracted hours.
It is the absorbtion of this EXTRA workload without extra hours that was the reason for this extra payment.
IF M/C staff are able to absorb extra work without incurring extra hours then they cannot complain.

If your round is 100 drops surely it 100 drops and the amount of mail varies every day so why different for election/D2D?

So MCs will give up all their extra allowances then, after all it does not matter what machine your on your still working on it during your working day - I may be wrong but that's what at least I thought TPM allowance was about the extra work involved in cleaning them. :Very Happy

Mate,if RM are stoooooopid enough to give us agreements like the D2D (old) one and the election stuff then who are we to argue.

And if MC guys got some kind of agreement where you get paid extra for doing something, even in your duty time then i very much doubt the foot soldiers would be narky about it.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Because they are 2 separate agreements - 1. Election Material 2. D2D
