Re: £400 lump sum--how will you spend it?
Apparently its worked out on 2 figures. Hours and length of service in last FY year
Divide the £400 by 12 for months
so at FT is £33.33 per month
work out the prorata amount
so if you are 20 hours it would be £16.65
Then if you have not been employed for the full FINANCIAL YEAR (6th April 2009 to 5th April 2010) multiply it by the months you have been with Royal Mail
So a 20 hour postie that's been with RM 6 months as of 5 Apr 2010 would get £100
A 40 hour postie thats been with RM 7.5 months would get £250.
This is reverse engineering the figure people have supplied me with on other threads so it may be wrong but at least it would give you an idea of how much you should get using RMs figures.

Quite succinctly phrased TBT - not really that complicated for people to understand, so how come the agreement said £400 for all do you think? You don't think that someone wanted to portray the agreement as something better than it was - as if it wasn't bad enough

How the part timers lump sum was worked out...
Royal Mail wrote: when deciding on the right amount to pay to part timers, we look at the actual hours worked over the last year, rather than contracted hours, so that if you work additional hours this will be taken into account.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Its OK I enjoy doing it - just like you appear to want to make things personal rather than debate the issues. Whatever floats your boat as long as it doesn't break the rules like your mate jaja did.I am number six wrote:HmmTrueBlueTerrier wrote:Apparently its worked out on 2 figures. apparently they have also averaged out the weekly hours worked, so if you worked a lot of overtime you got extra of the bonus. According to the email I received :)
