Annex C

Transformation Lump Sum Payments and Shorter Working Week

Applicable to all Delivery Units including SPDO’s

Lump Sums

The payment of £1,000 (pro rata for part time employees) consisting of 3 lump sums will be paid as follows.

£200 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit on deployment of their first non walk sequencing revision.
£600 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit on deployment of the walk sequencing revision.

If you read the agreement, it clearly states the a £400 payment will be made just for ratifying the agreement! This is what we have had today. Just how the amount employees received was arrived at is what the question this forum is asking.

If you have been with the company less than a year then that is why you are getting less. I guess.

Can't understand why part timers are feeling hard done by? Surely pro rata is the fairest system. Ok so many part-timers do lots of overtime, so what? On that basis full-timers that regularly do overtime on top of thier 40 hours so they should get more than £400 shouldn't they?

Anyway it's all irrelevant, whatever blood money you get ALL will be paying for it so don't worry. Part-timers will be crapped on, on a pro-rata basis of course

I got on to my Branch today and have asked them to put forward a complaint on behalf of all the P/T members in my office. The branch sec agrees with me that the words are the words and it clearly states all members to receive £400.00,
no mention of ProRata. The only problem he can see is that the agreement is not legally binding ( Go Figure ) so will wait and see what HQ and RM have to say to him.

Maybe pro rata is fair! Get real. Pay outs may be pro rata. Any savings or extra work are not pro rata. Everyone in our DO given half an hours extra work from the collapsed walks. Surely pt should have this pro rata? Just another case of pt's being shafted.

Well I guess your office works differently to mine. Part timers don't do a share of collapsed walks, never have to do the area sorting and leave half the packets out when they can't be assed to deliver them

But what the hell yeah give people that spend half the time in the office all the same bonuses of those that spend thier lives in there :speak to the hand
