Mail were'nt too bad today not a lot of Mailsort either. Tried to catch up on my D2Ds/Election leaflets as I never had chance to do any on Wednesday because of the management cock up from my day off. Had tory/ukip/lib dem stuff. Hopefully will clear whats left tomorrow and need a well earned long weekend even if the weather is gonna be shite.

My father was rushed into hospital suffering a heart attack 15 years ago whilst I was on delivery. His still going strong at 77 years. :Very Happy

It kinda puts recent days at RM into prospective. :hmmmm

Absolute mare of a day. Loaded up with election stuff in every bag. Although the packets were nowhere to be seen. :hmmmm Did a bit of lapsing then went down to my walk. Got about half an hour in and the front tyre went flat. :arrrghhh Rang the office and they said they would send a bod out with a bike. About an hour later someone turned up so I went on my way. Managed to get rid of everything but finished at about 4pm and was absolutely knackered.

Typical Bank Holiday weekend. Loads on and not enough hours/staff to get the job done. At least the sun was out. :wink:

Yeah the weather was nice.

I hope your dad's still doing ok ?

My sat was not all that heavy mail wise but got totally trashed by 9 reg's and 8 rec's which must have added at least 30 mins to the delivery.
I only brought 3 signed for docketed items back so did well really. :Very Happy Went over by about 15 mins but at least the office was still open. Managers away by 10:15 though. :sad:

Yes he is thanks. He had a pacemaker fitted on Friday and they sent him home on Saturday. He's taking it easy just strolling round the local park with the dog for now.

Too busy for a 7 hour day. At the moment we are using too many hours indoors which is making life a bit difficult time wise, to complete our duties. I really do hope that come the revision, things improve greatly. Heads have dropped since the ballot result. I think people are getting a bit frustrated waiting for things to happen. As we are the home office for our local ILSMs we get our mail last which is having a major impact on our day. :roll:

I deliver to an army barracks and they were on some sort of alert, they were just about to search the van when it come over their radios that they are not allowed to check my van, too be honest I forgot all about that. Last week I was met by about 30 Gurkas charging down the middle of the road in full battle gear :shock:

I think even the police have to follow you back to the office yard before they can start a search, unless they have a warrant. :Very Happy
