13 Weeks and 1 day, got told how great it was working for RM, how they looked after you, how they offer great pay, blah blah blah, after the start I've had I think they must have been reading it off a script written by leighton !!!

I think they think we are robots, as a 24 hour weeker My round is supposed to be thrown out ready when I start at 8.00am, in the 13 weeks I've been there its hardly ever been finished and at first I had to do it myself until I refused to do it anymore, then the managers couldnt be arsed to sort a van out for my bag drop so had to do that myself, then when I wanted to book overtime because of all the extra things I had to do then it was a case of " Do you think we are made of money" Well if you got off your arse and put your cup of coffee down for a change then maybe I wouldnt need to book the overtime. But obviously this isnt possible, My head was up my arse for the first 6 weeks, but all the postmen/women at my place have all helped me and sorted everything out for me, so in my short time here I have the greatest respect for all my fellow postys and not an ounce of time for the others above me. So put your hand in the coffers leighton and give the money these people deserve, they do a grand job,and its a pleasure to work with them !!!

2o years on delieveries 13 at Croydon, then 7 at bexhill.
How i long for those balmy days, when it was almost a joy to
go to work. it was more a social club than a job.
Now the managment, and i use the term loosely, have ripped
the heart out of the job.
