A pay cut and longer finishing times.
I say a fairer distribution of pay and better attendance options. Two sides of the same coin.
How is someone getting paid for work they don't do a fairer distribution of pay?

You can dress it up all you want but it's a d2d supplement, and when the locker guy is getting more than me when he doesn't so much as touch one then I don't view that as a fair distribution of pay.
My god when will it sink in?

Work your hours. Stop looking at the job as a peace work job or task and finish.

When will it sink in to you that a large proportion of delivery staff are worse off now than when they went on strike?
I will be working my hours, believe me,but I'll still be poorer than I was last week.

D2D had to be brought into workload which had to make some worse off when the payments were spread. Would you have been happy if RM would have collated the D2D in the future and paid some poles to deliver them all for far less? Then you would have got nothing.

Some Poles? you can ram that johnny foreigner pish pal,'some Poles'! what century is this again?

I'm not happy that a person who doesn't do the work is getting paid for it.Spread it amongst the people actually doing the graft then fine, but to give it to a guy who works indoors all day?

Joke

I know of shift supervisors who are getting this 'supplement'.You couldn't make it up.

IF EVERY ONE VOTES THEN ITS FAIR but when 60000+ cant be bothered to vote then i get peeved off,
if everyone voted and it went against my opinion i would not mind as it would be a fair reflection on the work force

The hole in that argument is that managers, phg's, drivers, sorters, collectors should all receive zero pay because they never deliver a letter.
We all get paid for the hours we work and D2D has been brought under the same umbrella as normal mail and in order to make the payment fair, some people have lost some money.

Actually banner, there's a big hole in your argument: With the exception of Management (who have different suppliments instead), all the people you listed, play a part in getting them delivered. We don't actually do "the final mile", but how else would it get to you, so that you COULD deliver it?
As we're talking about D2D, I'll use it as an example:
1) Customer drops the boxes of D2D off at the WBC (Walk Bundling Centre).
2) WBC Posties sort it into bundles of the correct amount, and stack it for dispatch.
3) Boxes get loaded onto Trailers.
4) Drivers transport them to the right place.
5) Boxes get unloaded.
6) Boxes given to the appropriate Delivery Posties.
7) Any excess is sent back to the WBC.
8) WBC counts the amount of excess D2D, and recycles it.

Or did you think that the D2D Fairy made them materialise in front of everyone's Frame? :chuckle

But seriously. Only Posties who work at DOs, should be getting the suppliment. Management grades shouldn't get any of it, because they have different pay, bonuses, etc..

I deliver.

I do not understand the hole in my argument.
My argument is: All work undertaken in RM operations will now be measured. Employees working X hours will get paid Y.

Even if the few in deliveries were excluded from the supplement, it would increase the allowance by a tiny fraction to the rest. Remember, the supplement is not for D2D, it is just a payment for those in deliveries. The argument is also ridiculous because why don't drivers and phg's who sort and deliver specials get paid a special delivery payment because specials are only handled by them. What a load of pish!
Sounds like a case of sour grapes to me.

Are you telling me you think only drivers and phg's handle specials? who gets them signed for then? Who stands in a locker queue every day for ages to sign for them? opg, that's who.

We both know certain areas don't,and will not do,d2d but they are getting money for them. You can say it's not a d2d supplement till you're blue in the face but you know it and I know it.

Royal Mail sure as hell know it.

It's here now, whether we like it or not. How are we going to make it work? Are we going to sit here in front of our keyboards and moan about it? People never vote because the isolation last year in executive action. Some offices went out...some did not.We had to sit on our hands.

The deal is there for the taking. It is now ours. The deal itself is about "empowerment".It is OUR deal...with "eyes watching". If you are whinging then your office needs to stand up. If the deal says less indoor and more outdoor.Create more indoor for you Part timers, via the prep so they come in and go!

Split your firms into two deliverys.

Longer delivery spans need to be cut into two. That would save your canteen.

Collections need to be cross functionalised.

Saturdays would possibly mean SA for the prep. The preference excersise for your VR's would mean a less head count.Everything works from there on in.YOU would be involved in the Geo Route and the "live enviroment" tests.

If you think management are going to "walk over it"....give it a bloody go! Tell them that we are in this deal whether you like it or not.........Are you up for it?
