Re: BALLOT RIGGED TO A YES VOTE!
so the two 'ronnies' are back in unison with the mandate from the top man yes they are on the dark side no mater what they say .....as for the truth if as i belive that every one or nearly every one i spoke to was a voiced no voter then was it rigged who knows
conspiracy theroists may be rife but for sure the 'truth' and his other union' buddies' will obviously stick by billy and daves every word ...why because they do not have to do the deliveries so in essence couldnt care less
And yes 'dingo' (not the poster but hey , he's a fellow conspirator ? ) i still belive this will lead to a fractionalised union broken by the greed of the leaders in the quest to keep the well paid positions they hold lets hope that they are soon ousted !!!! for a better union than we have at present one that will look after it's membership .

Re: Rigged Ballot..?
are you a walkman?,if you are you must have loads of capacity to fit up to 10 lots of d2d into your delivery time, most of us havn,t,we are pulled out everyday, with lapsing, etc, what point delivery men are making is if they did do 10 lots of d2d they would and should get paid around £70 plus early shift payment, not £20.60The truth! wrote:The ballot was fair. The reason for the extension was threefold, 15000 ballot papers were delayed in the revenue protection area in East London mail centre and was released and were meant for the South West Region and Wales region. Plus the delays due to the fact that flights were cancelled meaning that all Royal mail work had to go by road. Lastly some reported recieving the DVD but not the ballot paper.
The ballot is not covered by employment legislation , it was a consultative ballot. It was conducted by independent scuritneers who are granted a lience to perform ballots and who are impartial and fair. It is not against the rules to count ballot papers as they come in, it cant be rigged as the numbers on the ballot papers are marked to regions and the cwu cannot introduce new ballot papers.
So whilst you can have all the conspiracies theories you like but the truth is that in a 54% turn out a the members decided on a 2 to 1 basis to endorse the agreement.
Why ? Well the reality is that some of you believe that this site inflences how the wider membership will vote . It does not. What inflences the members in the main is what their Local rep , their area rep and their Branch recommends. Equally they believe in what CWU HQs have stated.
Equally lets be honest where did a no vote lead to ? Further negoatiaions well how many times can you cut a cake before it is runined ? Plus lets be honest the reality is that Royal Mail would not have stood still and would have introduce some of their plans without agreement.
Plus you state most people in deliveries vote no , well that is rubbish.
Remember these are facts there are 99 000 FTEs in Delervies and only 79753 got any door to door money.
The average door to door was 2.1 items per week with an average payment of £12.42
Not every postman got £12 early shift payment , in fact the majority did not some got £6 and some got dawn shift which is not effected and some including the majority of part timers did not get anything.
The average amount of delivery points per walk is 500 . ( you would not think so but it is remember there is only 28 millon addresses including firms, shops etc.)
Royal Mail are now paying for door to door twice , once in return for hours remaining in an office as it is now in measured workload and secondly in regards to the supplement. plus if and when the product increases we have a review which can mean extra money. In any case once it gets to 6 Royal Mail intend to automate door to door in one seleve meaning one item.

Re: Rigged Ballot..?
Well i am p/t i average at the moment £28 week for D2D and i also have a £6 ESA, so i take it i am one of those losers in this fair and equal agreement. As for the £6.60 you are on about this is for still doing your 30hr week as no shorter week for p/t, my hourly rate is roughly £8.50 +/- so its £2.00 short of that and if you are f/t you get 39hr week and paid for 40hrs giving you the full hourly rate for the hour you lose. The truth! wrote:Well your doing above the average in terms of delivery points. But lets examine your issue you recieve 3 items per week minus your annual leave and minus the chrismas weeks including between the eves, plus any sick leave now thats appoxmately leaves 43 weeks at £30 x 43 = £1290 against the supplement which is £20.60 x 52 weeks which equals £1071.20 so your loss is £218.80 per year totalling £4.20 per week. The pay rise is worth 2% which is over what you were going to lose on door to door and next year the supplement goes up with the year two pay rise.
Plus you have door to door in workload you get to keep more hours in your office and you also get better attendances.
Now if you are a part timer when you have your walk sequencing revison you will get an increase in your hourly rate over an above what a full timer gets ie a 20 hour contact will get £5.94 rise and a 30 hour contract will get £6.60.
The union has said some will lose from this deal and thats always differcult but it is for the greater good with the changes we face which may stun some when they see the level of change on its way and then some may understand the reasons why the union did this deal.
If i am not mistaken was the union not fighting for shorter working week for everyone??
Anyway under the new agreement i will lose roundabout £920 +/-, so tell me how i should understand the reasons of this deal??

Re: BALLOT RIGGED TO A YES VOTE!
Get real rigged ballot my back side.... Accept democracy and that we are in the minority..... blame those clowns who couldn't be bothered to vote.... And if you feel as strongly about being stitched up by the union and some in non delivery positions then do as i have and come out of the union ( the first time in 32 years i have not been in a union)

Its just a site at the end of the day, somewhere to grumble and most of the time thats all it is, just grumbles. It has no weight at all in the real world. People on here harp on about democratic votes but when it doesn't go their way, all of a sudden its rigged.
Too much read into doom and gloom threads with no substance to back them up other than opinion and some of you get carried away with it all. If people don't vote, thats THEIR choice, as much as its your choice to vote. If there really was a groundswell against the deal, don't you think there would have been a resounding NO even on a low turnout? RMC doesn't reflect the vast majority in any shape or form but it suits those who choose to use it, including political activists who like to come on here and stir you into a frenzy for their own ends.
Rigged ballot? No just bad losers. Ward gave you the reasons why you should vote yes and like the predictions about the outcome, predictions about a mass exodus from the union will also be wrong. What people say on here has little to do with what they do outside and chances are, many who used this site also voted yes but won't admit that. In the end, you have no idea who you're talking to on here or whether statements made by others are true and its a foolish man that reads it as gospel. If you're gutted you only have yourself to blame on that.
My footer quote has said that for a long time.
And Hooty,disappointed mate,dissapointed.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Then why do CWU officials seem to have spent a fair amount of time on here trying to persuade "The Grumbles" that it was such a great deal of the century?Night Tonic wrote:This site has never had any influence on the outcome of ballots or the changes made by the CWU or RM and it frequently gets it wrong, particularly in its polls which I've always said are meaningless. Re: Rigged Ballot..?
You don't have to sell it anymore tt, it was a yes vote - are people leaving the union or something? You've got your nice safe seat for the next three years so don't worry yourself about what we ordinary members think, drink your tea and eat your biccies, and get ready for the next round of shop floor unrest when all the promises made will be promises to keep. The truth! wrote:Well your doing above the average in terms of delivery points. A Planner has been in our office doing the A+ for the last two weeks, does that not tell you it was 100% YES vote and it was going through. the rail union fiddled their ballot so whats stopping the CWU???PostieWithTheMostie! wrote: RM knew the outcome weeks ago, ballot date put back..? Planners have been in loads of offices for weeks if not months that does not prove anything only that Royal Mail was never going to put everything on hold if the agreement was rejected.Kevin Manchester wrote:A Planner has been in our office doing the A+ for the last two weeks, does that not tell you it was 100% YES vote and it was going through. the rail union fiddled their ballot so whats stopping the CWU???PostieWithTheMostie! wrote: RM knew the outcome weeks ago, ballot date put back..? Re: Rigged Ballot..?
Exactly how much input has the CWU had in these months of planning dingo? Is this the fait accompli, the denouement of the final solution that we had no inkling of until the agreement was signed and sealed or have you glitterati known what was coming all along and just fed the crap to the plebs piecemeal.dingo wrote:Planners have been in loads of offices for weeks if not months that does not prove anything only that Royal Mail was never going to put everything on hold if the agreement was rejected.Kevin Manchester wrote:A Planner has been in our office doing the A+ for the last two weeks, does that not tell you it was 100% YES vote and it was going through. the rail union fiddled their ballot so whats stopping the CWU???PostieWithTheMostie! wrote: RM knew the outcome weeks ago, ballot date put back..?
