managers in my area are just back from a 2 day course, top of the list was how to deal with conduct cases arising from the new agreement

I can't see the sense in leaving the union because you don't like the deal, it's a bit like cutting your own nuts off cos the wife left you, it will get you nowhere.
The truth is ,if a lot of the folks who are justifiably angry about this deal had put more effort into their branch activities over the last few years then we might not be in this position now. Sometimes you have to do things for yourselves and not expect to ride on others coat tails and then complain when you get turned over.
What have you started doing to make sure the next deal is not more of the same? Or shall we all meet again in three years to feel hard done by and shout at the moon?

Quite agree. :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause

P13 your rep is telling you porkies there is no reason why he cant put in a letter of disagreement.

Has the DOM made these changes by negotations and agreement did he use the IR framework did he draw up an agreement with regards to the changes that your rep signed if not then thats the main reason your rep should be putting in his letter.

Phone your branch.

Spread the word... cancel your subs. I need every penny now. £202 a week after tax with a mortgage, bills..etc.. cheers!

banner18 wrote: The fact is, whatever the negative aspects of the agreement are, it is a plan.

Is your plan to go on strike until the government outlaws DSA?

Thats.........two plans then, the one that's just been ratified by the cwu membership and another one that you've just invented! I would say ther'e both terrible "plans" but only time will tell for the first one. i predict a miserable time for delivery staff and a huge increase in conduct cases when managers start getting stressed with implementing the new agreement.

On a personal note, after >20 years of supporting the union,i shall no longer be contributing to big Dave and Billys fine dining out on expenses. Any leadership happy to sell so many of it's membership so short isn't worthy of my support. Only thing sadder is the apathy shown to the vote by half the membership.

all done.the fact that this union didnt send out enough ballot papers to start with(which is very dodgy),then the deal comes in was probably the final straw for me.

hayes and ward should be put out the door on a vote of no confidence.##better still do away with the cwu altogether and bring another union in.
