I'm with ya as are a good many more in our office...... Sad day though  , been a trade unionist all my life, i accept i must be in the minority and am a big believer in democracy so accept the ballot result, but i'm not prepared to be a party to lilly livered union cheifs who are in my opinion sub servant to someone wether it be the government, the labour party or Royal mail's chiefs who knows...... As a delivery worker i am sure we have been the sacrificial lamb :no no :no no ..... I hope to return one day when we get a union who believe in a fair deal to all it's members not in thier own words a pay rise for some and a pay drop for others!!!!!! :wave :wave

I have been thinking long and hard about cancelling my union subs, I don't want to make a desicion in the heat of the moment but I can't see what good the union has done for me. Losing early morning shift allowence, losing D2D payments and having to deliver more of them, longer working hours on a saturday. The union say you get 1 in 4 saturday's off, oh well that's great then, it means I can play cricket once a month or go take son to football once a month. I just fail to see what benifits delivery staff are getting out of this deal.
The new agreement is meant to cut out bullying and harrasment but these things shouldnt be going on in a work place anyway. So how is some new deal going to magically stop something from happening that shouldn't be happening in the first place. We didn't go on strike over pay was the mantra of the CWU when we were on strike but what was the selling point?? a so called pay rise. Money was never the main issue to the postie, it was unfair work loads and a romored later finishes on a saturday. Yet what have the cwu got us to vote on? unlimited D2D and later saturdays.
The union as on a national level are a joke it's just down to how good local reps are now.
