dingo wrote:This document is not agreed and was written in Febraury. Things have moved on a bit since the Workshops.
thats funny ,I could have sworn the wording in the full agreement was
" it is envisaged that the joint workshops will commence within four weeks of the date of ratification of the agreement"

Just you watch how quick management deliver their knockout blow if it is a yes. I don't think despite all the good intentions and hard work of our loyal union brothers that there will be any chance of recovery from this mistake. Reps and members nationwide will be knocked from pillar to post and left reeling under the blitzkrieg that management have drawn up. Hope I'm wrong ,but a lot of us called 2007 right and got slated by some stalwarts for lacking faith and failing to understand what was best for the union; anyone know how many members lost since 2007? This deal is even more flawed on so many levels, membership will plummet .
An outside observer could be forgiven for thinking that this was part of a deliberate program to dismantle the union in record time :hmmmm

Actually if you look at the document it says produced in Dec 2009!

The union guys are a bunch of no hopers trying to justify their existence by pushing a bad deal because they are incapable of producing original work. They have to parrot RMs dogma because they do not have the intellectual capacity to have original ideas and push forward change for the benefit of the members.
Bunch of charlatans, actually snake oil salesmen is a very apt description.

Just imagine pp, it could be worse, you could be making momentous decisions about your memberships working life, having to drink tea, eat biscuits and claiming lunch and travelling expenses all in centrally heated rooms, just imagine having to put up with that - hey sometimes they have to turn the heat down because they break out in a sweat - one guy thought he was leaking it had been so long since he'd had a real sweat on. :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

No I can't imagine it pp, well actually I can imagine it having worked in deliveries for years, but I won't be doing it. 6 hours for park and loop and 5 hours HCT hail, rain, snow and shine - tbh only those who have never done it could come up with ideas like that - we're back to the chattering classes again pp. :cuppa

dingo wrote:As a result of yesterdays meeting Royal Mail have informed the CWU that they have withdrawn the documents on door to door and delivery design which have been posted on here.

Instead Royal Mail confirmed to the union they want agreements which both sides believe are fair and have both got confidence in..

Not a bad start.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

voted yes cos they would have used executive action anyway, atleast we have binding agreements now driven by health and safety.
