I am an ex-postman with a grudge. So it could be argued that what I write here has no bearing on the reality of the recent postal dispute.

However, I feel I need to say something about the reasons behind it and point to some facts regarding the underlying issues from which the national dispute arose.

It has been clear from the start of Crozier's ascension to the throne of the Royal Mail that he wished to sell it off! TNT have been waiting in the wings for the 'nod' for some time. Notice how the dispute arose just after Gordon's gang decided not to sell it off following a huge public outcry at the very thought of doing so.

Crozier then instructed his managers to make life difficult for their employees to "prove" that the Royal Mail staff were failing in their duty to "modernise". In the meantime, Crozier's wife, its rumoured, takes up a senior post in TNT!

His lies about the apparent fall in mailings ignored the fact that internet shopping has been steadily rising along with the growth of internet confidence. There are now MORE mailings than at any time in history!

He'll win of course, because we're all crushed under the weight of the "Corporate Dollar"! Nations rise and fall at the hands of the moneymen.

Dr Beeching is not dead!

True,but more facts and and a lot less hearsay/opinion would be even better. Load of tripe..

A lot calmer, and ( in perception, at least ) more reasonable than the unfettered hysterical agression spouted by the assorted Murdoch / Rothermere / Desmond media empires.

there is a grain of truth in it - though it could be qualified a lot better .

The Emperor's New Clothes , everything has to fit a perverse Royal Mail agenda , a very negative blame culture , bonus cultures , a sales culture from a firm that doesn't have much to sell and isn't very good at selling - a very old fashioned top down - 70's Car Factory management style , the bullying all the way down the food chain , lurching from crisis to crisis - management in melt down .

There's also the :mfo influence - he's never really done democracy , you could argue that the likes of :lfo & :cfo were hired hands to a point .

I think you can guess how he will do at ITV. He will give the impression that he cares and approachable, yet the reality will be far different - a part time boss on a full time wage!
