Next morning PHG calls him to the cage to ask if he had a problem delivering a package to a customer ?

To which he replied no - not that he was aware of !

PHG then walks into managers office and returns with said packet with the letter box still attacthed as he had rammed it in so hard they had to remove it from the door still around the packet and still couldn't get items out !!!

Still smile about this today !

so i start putting in the big pile of mail left behing by the full timers apparently this is meant to be prepped.
So in 45 minutes im expected to do nearly everything a ful timer does in 3 hours... and can finish killing off mail let alone prepping all my d2d....

Then i went on my walk and wondered why my walk took nearly 4 and a half hours when its supposed to be 3.5

turns out i cant complete this walk in time and they wont change it for me..

Here's a couple more...

My Dad took the mail out to a SPDO, he then had to deliver to another smaller SPDO just up the road. It's still dark as he jumps into his Transit... and puts his Mondeo key into the ignition of the Transit. Now the key is totally stuck, he calls out the SPDO manager, who has to drive 20 miles in another van with the spare keys to get the other SPDOs mail out and dropped off. The van had to be recovered back to our MT workshop, where it took them some time to remove his key. :left:

A rather Clueso-esque postie at our old office put his second post on the roof of his car whilst he unlocked it... it fell off the roof as he pulled out into the traffic on the busy road :nana

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Delivered a letter the other day, bloke comes out says "she doesn't live here"

I informed him that I deliver as addressed, and as it's his address, it has to go through his door, he huffs a bit and puffs, tries to get me to take it back, but is a bit rude, so I tell him to mark it RTS and put it in the box down the road, he says "no way am I doing that, I know where she lives I deliver it myself" and off he marches, now not only is he walking further to "deliver it" than it would have been to walk to the box, but I inform him that the person he thinks the letter is addressed to no longer lives where he thinks she does, so he asks me "OK clever clogs where does she live now" I look at him smugly and reply "St Mary's church yard in town, she died four weeks since"
