It's worse when you knock someones door only to find it's a postie from a different area who's home already and you have 2 1/2 hours left on your own delivery.

el_cartero wrote:full timers have it good yes theres a differnt sleeping pattern but atleast you guys get to really do you job properly and arent rushed in 40 minutes to do everything like we are.and are out the door an hour or more earlier than part timers . and get a descent livable wage at the end of the week.

+ you guys are paid to 2pm??? asiff any of you ever work to 2pm ?

admit this

you realise you are helping RM in their divide and conquer quest?
in my office the PTers leave with the FTers, and you are more than welcome to show how a 900 call tenement duty can be done and finish early
the duty is 20 minutes drive from the office and we are not out before 10am

:Boo hoo!

i would be surprised if any DO does this
anyone prove me wrong?
I work in a combined MC & DO. Downstairs in the MC there's posters up saying dead DSA mail is to be surcharged, so yes we do it.

I work on a rather large round (900 drops) with loads of student housing and rented accomodation so the amount of deads I get is unreal. I've had 200 odd in a day before. Normally I just throw them to the manager and get him to sort them because I'm not working over my time killing them off.

same for me,i could easily get a tray a day depending on what folks have kept or the MC has backed up
we have never had any instruction on splitting DSA out
im thinking its an MC only thing and as a combined unit you get it as well

actually why arent these wonderful machines splitting this mail out in the MC's?

This happens to me almost daily when i am still delivering 8 miles from the office with about an hour and a half still to do and a fellow postie drives by in his car almost home. Drives you nuts if you let get to you. :d'oh!
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Course its not fair as its not only the partimers that get stitched up, we all do. What happened in my area was i guy left and his walk was simply split onto two others which means we work about 1-1.5 hrs longer than the rest. We still have to absorb as well.

Getting back to deads i have no time to even look at them on a Sat as iam always going 30-45 min over and rushing to get back before they close the office.

I work in a MC DO we don't split the dead DSA, never heard of that happening before.

Have they even tickled this? What does that mean?
Did something get lost in the translation?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
