Re: Door to Door into workload
I don't know what you're all complaining about, it takes nearly everyone in my office 0 minutes to make up their D2Ds......................because they take them home (and I believe they will continue to do so

Re: Door to Door into workload
The proposed agreement reads page 20 3rd paragraph 2nd sentence "This move into work load will require delivery duties to be adjusted and allowances to be made in order to provide sufficient time to "prep" the items and deliver them."
same page 2nd para last sentence "delivery employees will have the ability to manage the delivery of the items themselves on the proviso that all items are delivered within the week."
So fo me thats one a day making 100% call rate every day please + a review of my walk as i cut off each day..................................................................

Maybe 6 items in 14 mins not impossible after all.
I bet you will be in the top 10% Ghostman.
nah...i'm sure i'll be kicked out of the top 10% for all the cutting off i'll be doing.
What would people say is a realistic time for prepping D2D's then? I must admit I've never actually timed myself putting in an entire fitting as i do mine on a daily basis, it was just guesstimate. And i did say an "empty" fitting. ok, perhaps 90 mins would be more realistic for the senario I quoted. That's 20 items a min into an empty fitting. So it would be 3 hours a week for 6 items. 30 mins a day for 6 items into 1/6 of the fitting.
Can I just add these figures are off the top of my head....could be complete b*******. We all know that prepping D2D into a fitting packed with letters is going to slow us down even more. And the live testing that has been talked about is probably going to go the same way as us seeing the 90 page agreement, the menu of options and the workshops. I'm gearing myself up for more confrontations whatever happens. It's the only way sadly.

Re: Door to Door into workload
Nearly every frame in my office is 2 addresses to a slot. If I had 3 lots of D2D's on my frame (600 drops) i'd have to prep 300 leaflets in 10 minutes - one every 2 seconds into a full double slot frame.NewPostieUK wrote:On one of the walks I cover, the frame has about 3/4 with two drops per slot. It's a nightmare putting in door to doors. You have to pull out the letters to put the two sets of door to doors in. Has anyone got a better way of prepping this kind of frame? The fame's a nightmare even without door to doors.
So what 'D2D into workload' actually means is that you'll be given nowhere near enough time to prep them, which gives you even less time do get everything else done.
PS: Why does it take 4 minutes to prep a 6th of one lot of D2D but only 11 minutes for 4 lots? Does it work using the same formula as the 'PT pro rata' debacle - ie just make something up?

Re: Door to Door into workload
Ghostman your figures are correct, 1/6 of 600 = 100 x 6 items = 600 divide by 20 per minute = 30 mins prep per day for d2d.
Now going by The Truths post RM want us to prep the d2d when all other mail is in frame, I think this will surely slow the prep rate down so i think 20 per min for 6 d2d would be quite a challenge to achieve.
And RM expect it to be done in less than half the time, and who says 6 d2d will be the max, they are to be uncapped.
HAPPY DAYS AHEAD.

Yep, it's an enabler ,due to increased volume ,existing DSA firms are unable to meet present handover windows . Two choices; 1 DSa contractors make massive investment in infrastructure to meet present time slots ,and as a result incur far lower profit yield,or 2 Time slots get put backdblad wrote:Now you know why it's a 4 o'clock finish
