It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

There's too much of this, using the just the 1st letter of words instead of the whole thing, not everybody knows what they stand for. Only other option is to put them in a stickie so people can look them up.Steviea34 wrote:Delivery Productivity Tool - variation on IWT toolmotherhubbard wrote:Steviea34 wrote:This sounds like they are using IWT/DPT,
IWT = Indoor Workload Tool.
What is DPT?

A basic strategy to exclude people , create an exclusive group by making up your own language. None of it is rocket science ,but if you speak in code ,then only those in the know know that what you are saying is unimportant dross,gives the clique an air of authority and puffed up status. BoCFC's if you ask medblad wrote:There's too much of this, using the just the 1st letter of words instead of the whole thing, not everybody knows what they stand for. Very true, but it's a only the more modern equivalent of quoting obscure writers' (names or work) in regular every-day stuff just to appear to be part of the eddicated clique.
Good job no-one does that here, eh Bell?
