Their plan B will be 'get out quick while the s**t hits the fan'. They must be the most dire pair in the union movement.

There are a million combinations of what ifs, who can say what any individual unit is going to do if the vote is no. The least we can expect is for the union to take up the challenge to FIND a Plan B or C or D at the very least one that IS acceptable to the membership.Big Daz wrote:What happens in a no vote and CWU cant achive any changes to the big issues?
What then?
TBH I wonder what individual units are going to do if the vote is a YES.
Forces, good go no man!! Previous generations have been. Got some fantastic photos of my grandfather in his homeguard days. I even got the service record of his father in law from WW1
Straight to RML from school, boy to man in a RML D.O
Youve slightly not got my point, what happens if a plan that is acceptable to the membership does not come in to existence?
Dave and his team go to RML and say our mbrs don't ike this and they want that changed and RML say NO!!!!
What then, make the best of a bad situation or strike?
What happens if we strike and still do not get any concessions from RML.

Re: BETTER GET A PLAN B SORTED BILLY AND DAVE
Then i would suggest Daz that RML will have to attempt to bring in the biggest changes in the history of the industry without the backing of it's staff.Big Daz wrote: what happens if a plan that is acceptable to the membership does not come in to existence?
Dave and his team go to RML and say our mbrs don't ike this and they want that changed and RML say NO!!!!
Now does that sound feasible?
It is doubtful whether these changes will work WITH the members behind them, almost impossible without them.
So who do you think fears a NO vote the most?
Remember many of us have been dealing with EA and IA and out of control management for so long now it holds little fear for us.
Don't be scared of the boogeyman, someone just made him up to keep little boys in their beds at night.

Not very bright, are they?Night Tonic wrote:There is no plan B
I wonder, in days of old, when Rome was young, well, youngish, how far Caesar would have got if he'd never had a plan B, in case plan A fell flat on it's arse?

There is no plan B as Dave has said many times, unless you count dole money, and as usual a load of presumptive nonsense as to the outcome. Wait and see. I've actually put a bet on at the bookies and looking forward to collecting my winnings next week.

I can just see the headlines, Postal Workers turn down £1000 bonus. Like anyone would give that the time of day when everyone else has pay freezes. I don't like Ward as you know but at least hes a realist. All that will happen is we'll end up sold off, pension stuffed and any deals thrown out with it. No brainer that one.

1000 linked to jumping through so many hoops it's impossible to get(some not until 2012) and £400 due anyway in 8 weeks

Re: BETTER GET A PLAN B SORTED BILLY AND DAVE
We have severe shortages of staff, workloads that put navvies to shame, and a senior management "team" bereft of any common sense.Night Tonic wrote:I can just see the headlines, Postal Workers turn down £1000 bonus. Even if this agreement is given the green light by the terminally bonkers, the number of postal workers who will be able to do what will be necessary to achieve that "£1000 bonus" will be minimal, very minimal.
A bonus for us, is hard-earned, very hard-earned. A bonus for the likes of Tolhurst and Higson, well, even the current moron of the year could do, what little those two do, to achieve their bonus, which is way too much more than a hard-grafting postal worker will ever see in a month of Sundays.

we may count our dole money and wonder why we paid our subs but f/t release for reps will go and they can always walk the streets for us and see how sh*t they have defended the membership that did not cave in but were led to the slaughter from union hq in there ivory towers
