Royal Mail can no longer be trusted

Of course there are theives working for Royal Mail.

8 items sent to me in the past 6 months have gone missing (that I know of). Most recently a cheque has disappeared (stupidly the sender didn't make it out to anyone as she didn't know who it was payable to) and was cashed. Blatant theft, no doubt about it, Royal Mail are not taking responsibility - they are completely unaccountable unless items are sent special delivery. I'm livid about this and wish there was some way I could make everyone sending me mail use a different delivery service, but unfortunately that is not practical. Spoke to police, but they say they cant do much more than RM, so I have to leave it in their hands for the time being

I really hope the thief is caught and punished. I don't understan how someone can be so disrespectful...I am running a not-for-profit community group and it was a deposit for an event we are holding that was cashed. This makes us look bad in my opinion, and who knows how many other things may have disappeared that I dont know about (including other deposits or the responses to wedding invitations which I am expecting).

As there is nearly every business/organisation that employs such large numbers of people. Its inevitable just based on numbers. However, that is no excuse and if I ever learn of ANYONE theiving from Royal Mail or its customers I will "shop" them no hesitation of questions.

i wonder how many of these 100 birthday cards had the senders address on the back ? not many if any at all !!!

7 out of 100 went missing. So that was 3 letters went missing but 4 scratch cards inside went missing? Ashame all posties are getting a bad name based on possibly 1 postie or 2 but definetly less than 14 posties.

Not rife as it's a small minority and they will get caught eventually. For letters going missing i get addresses like flat 1 which really means floor 1 or I get 0/1 which is actually for the top floor.

imicola, If the check was cashed is their no way for the person who wrote the check to find out what account the money was paid into? If the account belongs to a postman to take legal action etc?
