What about the postman who gave a lift to a sc*b, dropped them off then parked up and went onto the picket-line ?
Challenged later about the absurdity of what he was doing, he replied that 'one or two people coming in isn't gonna make a difference' Image

I kid you not.

He didn't charge him taxi fare for the lift to make up for losing a days pay because of striking?

Maybe next time he should take a 10 mile detour and just as he's as far away from the office as he can get, pretend the car's run out of petrol. Or offer him some coffee with 20 super strength laxatives in. That way he can shít himself as well as shítting on his collegues.

doing the job properly -

Post by lovejoy »

Delivery Office Brief
Your support for the national strike action thus far has been first class. You will aware that from this week the action has been escalated by CWU HQ and a 2 week rolling program of industrial action has been announced.

We know that you will fully support YOUR union but we want to make sure that we justify the pay that we all lose. There is no point us withdrawing our labour one day if we all cut corners to make up the backlog the next.

In most offices we are doing ourselves out of jobs. Royal Mail is proposing more cuts in every office for the next five years. They say there is slack in every unit nationwide.

It is now time to prove them wrong. Dozens of offices nationwide have woken up and started to do the job properly. There is nothing wrong with doing what is listed below. It is all covered by national agreements and there should be no comeback from management. If any manager tries to apply pressure contact your CWU representative immediately!
STOP USING YOUR OWN CARS
• You are not insured
• You are NOT PAID to use YOUR cars
• You are taking time off your duty by using your car. Royal Mail will come for this time if they already haven’t
STOP COMING IN EARLY
• Royal Mail is not grateful for you starting early. They just see this as a further opportunity to cut jobs. If you come in an hour early for work then they will simply put an extra hours worth of walking on your duty!
STOP WORKING YOUR MEAL RELIEFS
• Once again Royal Mail is not grateful that you are giving them this time. They see it as another 40 minutes work they can lump on you!
START TO WEIGH YOUR BAGS
• National agreements entitle you to weigh every bag you take out. You are outing your health and safety at risk as well as cutting corners!

Erm ............... where's the trailer for the excess?

It would be funny if it wasn't such a serious issue. Use of private vehicles should have been put to bed eons ago.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

they pulled this one on me once . . . . I asked what I should be doing next, then went and did it, went back and asked what to do next, went and did it, this went on all morning with me asking "what should I do now" every 15 mins or so . . . . after a couple of hours the screw said " ok just follow your bloody 318 then " . . . . . . . . . . . . ok I know it's childish but sometimes that's the only way to deal with the screws.

chaos at southend

Post by bigkevmartin »

since last thursday the posties at southend all started coming in on time and asking for lifts out and all are taking their meal reliefs as agreed in the sdd revision. the posties are not allowed to protract but have seen more than 100 managers since last week,at one stage 6 posties to one manager all day long.
the posties have been doing what was agreed in there duty structure ,nothing illegal.

the quadrant canteen has never been so busy that they had to have extra staff.
