I took the agreement in showed the dom and others in the delivery office and dom came back and said east anglia division had said there is NO Payment. for poll cards
So when it suits dom to quote an area agreement they are all for it (if it saves them money)but when they want to do you over then they are quite happy to try and shaft the local rep looking forward to the new way of working NOT

ffs and the next step is?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

That depends on ,if you are working for the benefit of the corporate profit monster,or,you think the ordinary worker should get a living wage , which side are you on?
This will be a local agreement. Some areas love polling cards and addressed election material. So much so that they are willing to deliver them for free and in some cases they are so popular workers will even subsidise their delivery and do them at a loss. That's the beauty of local agreements, anyone can choose to work for less than nothing
Is the payment for polling cards paid for delivering or prepping the cards, or both? I only ask because "bag carriers" have their mail prepped by full time staff. If its paid for prepping and delivering, then the payment should be split between the person who splits them and the person who delivers them.
our office polling cards came in 1st class, had 3 days to deliver, 3.8 per card, we had the choice of counting them or going by your D2D total and adding half again to get your total.
Waiting for the influx of leaflets now, not sure how many folk standing for election in our area, but i'm guessing at least 10

How can you add half again going by your D2Ds, you'll probably end up bumping yourself....?
Some doors on my walk have 1 small majority, alot have 2 or 3, a good healthy few have had 4 and i've had at least 6-7 doors with 5 polling cards going through.
Your best bet is to count them individually, remember the money is better in your pocket than someone else's, you're the 1 putting the graft in.
Polling cards... Postcard sized bits of paper that you take to the polling station. I have never delivered these before today, i thought they were delivered by the local council officials like censers forms.
Our office had them today. They were marked as 2nd class items, have till the end of the week to deliver them.
