But your maths on this one is flawed, AnotherLimey.AnotherLimey wrote:My point was the value of the work now and after the agreement, if it goes through.dvbuk55 wrote:No you wouldn't because they would have had to be done when due. You used to get piles of them left at one time but not anymore, there is a weekly return done on D2Ds now and a strict regime to see that they ARE delivered.AnotherLimey wrote:The lapsed walk in my office had 6 lots of DTD under the frame this morning, i suggested to the manager i take them home set them in and deliver them Tue-Fri after work which he agreed to, easy money as the lapsed walk is right outside the office, this week that will earn me an extra £65, in a few weeks time if this crap is voted in i would be paid around £8 for the same work.
How many hours will it take you, Tuesday - Friday, to deliver these 6 d2d's, IN YOUR OWN TIME ?
If you only take 2 hours each day doing them, that's 8 hours of unpaid overtime.
Yeah, you reckon you'll be £65 better off by doing them (in your OWN time)
But if the agreement got voted in, you'd be paid to do them in your normal working hours, and they'd still take 8 hrs to deliver. But your hourly pay rate is what, £9/hr ? So, you'd be doing them as part of duty hours and being paid 8 x £9 = £72, plus you'd be getting the delivery supplement by then as well
