Why, does RM negotiate separately with the non-CWU staff down on the South Coast then?

It's very interesting that you see members real concerns as "opposition".dingo wrote: The CWU have survived a lot more contreverisal things then this ballot IWM and the Way Forward make this opposition look like the Queens tea party.
But hey you can contiue to slag of indivduals from the safety of the your keyboard.
The difference between then and now dingo is the dwindling membership base.
If HQ are not careful there will soon be more reps than ordinary members and then arrogant comments like "nothing gets agreed unless the CWU do it be that in your office or nationally." will come back to bite you.
If the comment about slagging off individuals was aimed at me i didn't but you have.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

freeloaders.... look how many people etc are using my money to stop in hotels and whatever, your the freeloaders, and telling members to leave becouse they dont agree with you is typical of the arrogance. like dvb says your paid managers pay by rm so who is actually freeloading of who!pickaname wrote:dingo wrote: ...if you want you can leave the union and then become a free loader as nothing gets agreed unless the CWU do it be that in your office or nationally.

Sorry if you find that offensive . But I find it the same everyone slagging off the union and threatening to leave the union when in many circumstances they have not even read the agreement . Like I said before you have every right to vote no but you do not have the right to personlise the issue . The negotators agreed what they believe is the best deal they could achieve given the current position of the business financially and given that automation is here.
It is your right as a union member to think different and to vote no but calling people names to make your point.
The members will decide . I for one will accept for one the decision will you ?

The negotiators may think it's a good deal but they are not working unlimited delivery spans, unlimited D2D, a pay cut etc.dingo wrote:Sorry if you find that offensive . Nor will you be doing unlimited door 2 door as guess what royal mail want to put another intial cap on door to door as they want to grow the product in a realistic and managable . On the deivery span you will agree that in the revision 6 step process after you have surveyed the staff and that the tools for the job are in place .

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Can we have that in writing in say ......an agreement form?dingo wrote:Nor will you be doing unlimited door 2 door as guess what royal mail want to put another intial cap on door to door as they want to grow the product in a realistic and managable .
Otherwise it's just more "We were going to turn the product off"..or..."We were going to put it into workload and stop paying for it"..or.."We will pre-package it in one envelope".
It's all getting rather predictable and tedious now.

“Making door-to-door part of normal workload means that everyone gets an equal payment for this work guaranteed 52 weeks a year, everyone gets prep time for this work and more work can come into delivery in the future, which will protect jobs and, hopefully, create new jobs.”
