Ours came in this week prepaid 2nd class, and we're getting paid for them @ 3.5p per item so you've been robbed.

This is what happens when vitrually everything is left to LOCAL AGREEMENT !!!How difficult can it be to make the payments equal for everywhere in the country,, it really is mind boggling stupid!!! By the way we are getting 3p per unadressed item and zilch for polling cards etc , never have been! All our Dom and rep says is that has been agreed..from previous elections !!

We got told today we don't get payment for poll cards, my argument would be even if in the past there is an agreement surely it should be renegotiated as each election comes up, otherwise we could all say to RM sorry past agreements say thiss and that and bet they won't like it especially when and If the new agreement came in, that was benificial to the postal workers JMHO :arrrghhh

Minimum is 3p per item. Maximum is 6.9p per item. Agreed locally many many moons ago.

At NO point was it or has it ever been 0p per item. Get rep to sort it out.

I run it passed our rep today and he said as they were 2nd class we got nothing. I guess those who did get paid had some local agreement in place. :roll:

IMO Your rep is wrong there is a national agreement and its mentioned here http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 36&t=16155" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This agreement covers all addressed and un-addressed free election communications marked “ELECTION COMMUNICATION” and Poll Cards
To me despite previous postings by other members means you get paid for:

All Election material marked Election Communication both addressed and unaddressed

AND

All Poll cards - No exceptions

If it was any different it would say "including Poll Cards" instead of "and Poll Cards" that way if they do come as DSA or 1st or 2nd Class you would not get paid as they were not FREE.

However with the word "AND" this seems to me to suggest we get paid for all POLL CARDS regardless of their origin.

Thoughts :hmmmm
