havn,t recieved ballot papers yet
what happens if all members do not recieve them
does the vote become nil and void
i mean ba and train unions were not allowed to strike due to ballot irregularities
so surely same must apply to our vote
surely all members should be receiving papers round about same time
or are militant offices missed out ?
surely our wonderful union cant get ballot wrong again

Look the ballot papers were sent out on Friday from the mailing house , they were not sent out first class so I am surprised some recieved them Saturday or even Monday as mail centres do not have the same weekend operations as they use to have.

Members will probably recieving them from tomorrow on block.

Now this ballot is not on the same standard as a legal indsutrial action ballot where they are employment laws which have to be carried out and case law which has a bearing on matters.

The union will be using in the main the same information which they used for the national industrial action ballot which did not produce any succussful challenges. Of course change of adresses which have been notified to CWU HQs and new members who have joined in time should also recieve ballot papers.

However if you do not recieve a copy of the voice or didt recieve a ballot paper last year for strike acton then either your not a member check your wage slip , you have moved addresses and have not informed the union remember informing Royal Mail of your change of address is not the same as informing the union as Royal Mail do not pass on the changes of address due to data protection issues or you have returned the voice to return to sender as many do.

Still no sign of the ballot papers in our office, perhaps they have 'lost' ours because the branch has recommended a NO vote :hmmmm
