Nice story, though I doubt we'll be seeing it in The Courier anytime soon.

Bullshit,i'm no thug, but,if anyone said that to me i'd f***ing kick the f**k out of him! This guy I used to work with, an original skinhead, asked if I was still “sh***ing that black b****”. I told him we were a couple and to refrain from calling her that. He apologised, and then sent a Christmas card to us, which was a surprise.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

It is a rather unlikely response POSTMAN although it is possible he kicked the sh*t out of him first and then informed him they were a couple and could he refrain from calling her that.POSTMAN wrote:Bullshit,i'm no thug, but,if anyone said that to me i'd f***ing kick the f**k out of him! This guy I used to work with, an original skinhead, asked if I was still “sh***ing that black b****”. Interesting to see that everyone seemed to know this guy as BNP Pete and he still became a manager. How the hell can you have somone with those views in a position of authority. I know it wasn't written on his head, but if so many people knew........

The BNP are a legitimate political party like all the rest which is why we deliver their leaflets. You can't discriminate against someone based on their legal political views. Only a minority of the BNP are racist - as are a minority of Labour supporters and a large number of Tories - allegedly.

Pete was my line manager for a while until he went off on sick with 'stress'. His views were well known in RM - he used to fund raise for the BNP when he was a driver on nights. Maybe he has changed, but he didn't cut it with me - he was just a joke as a manager. He would protect our layabouts and wasters and put on those of us who did the job properly.

I think they are they just try to hide it these days, however you are right we live in a democratic society and as bnp are a recognized party they have the same rights as the other parties, if you dont support bnp the answer is to not vote for them. I won't be voting this year the only thing i will be voting on is the agreementopgpat wrote:The BNP are a legitimate political party like all the rest which is why we deliver their leaflets. Coxie: please use your vote there are a lot of people who gave their lives to ensure you could vote. Voting is one of the founding principles of the trade union movement. As You are aware in other countries people are denied this opportunity. Please just use your vote don't throw it away. One day you could wake up and find that you don't have it!

The other managers in our DO hated having him working with them - he was foisted upon our office after being suspended on full pay for over 12 months. Apparently, he is now trying to bring a B&H charge against our DOM. Pete was just one of many crap managers we had running our section (9 line managers in 5 years!).norbert wrote:sounds like a few RM managers that are protected by " the system " and / or " boy's clubs "DH73 wrote:Pete was my line manager for a while until he went off on sick with 'stress'. I wonder how much he got from " The Daily Mirror " ? - interesting ? - how many on here would go on the telly or want to end up in some comic of a paper or in the likes of " Bella " or " Take a break " ?
I have seen that happen in another union ......for some reason " Take a Break " once sold out locally
