Call me Cynical, but to me you are a regular poster on here to try and sell the deal.give it a few weeks and i reckon we wont here that much from youWe kept this site fairly informed during last years dispute and during the 4 months of talks. Yes we are easy targets as we are fairly well known Cwu officials. However I know some get caught up in the therory that royal mail chat is the true opinion of the lay membership of the union. Well sorry to disappoint you it's only a small reflexiation and most pec members have been touring the country meeting the members at the various branch meetings to explain the agreement . The branch then decides on whether the agreement is in the intrest of their branch members and whether they recommend the agreement.

Mucker And dvbuk out of intrest how many strike days did you take last year toget us into talks or did your office give in to royal mail and accept worse conditions and then moan about them on web sites like this. Some ofyou wantto get off of your knees and fight for better terms and conditions. I havealways been prepared to fight and not accept the crumbs royal mail throw at us . Today I spent a rewarding day reversing a managements executive action . The office will vote next week to return back to a four day week . We know in London that we will stay united ensure that London offices get the best terms and conditions from this agreement that we can. Not because we given prefential treatment but because we have ballsto standup to royal mail and fight . That might sound big headed but it's true .give me all the stick you like but we have the terms and conditions to prove it . That you cannot doubt .

Which proves the point about a national CWU & London CWU, when these so called performance tools are agreed it would not be a bigdingo wrote:Mucker And dvbuk out of intrest how many strike days did you take last year toget us into talks or did your office give in to royal mail and accept worse conditions and then moan about them on web sites like this. It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: LTB / COMMS UPDATE
every single one, apart from when i was on leave..as i have since the early 80s.....Mucker And dvbuk out of intrest how many strike days did you take last year toget us into talks
my office hasnt accepted worse conditions,to my knowledge,i dont moan on web sites like this, i just state facts,if you dont like honesty thats your problem....or did your office give in to royal mail and accept worse conditions and then moan about them on web sites like this.
i do and always have, shame certain local reps dont have the balls to take on mangement as i did a few years back.....Some of you want to get off of your knees and fight for better terms and conditions.
good on you i will always applaud reps who fight for our right's,the next time mangement try that in my office perhaps i could call on you to fight our cause..Today I spent a rewarding day reversing a managements executive action . The office will vote next week to return back to a four day week
i dont work in london, however we in our office do have the balls to stand up to mangement, but dont feel we have the backing from HQ,small fish in a big pond scenario and being so far away from london....London offices get the best terms and conditions from this agreement that we can. Not because we given prefential treatment but because we have ballsto standup to royal mail and fight
it's not about giving you stick,i respect the position you hold.however iam very passionate and say what i think,i have a long family backgroud that goes back 60 years and find it hard to belive how our jobs are going down the pan.im sorry IMO the aggrement is not good enough and we deserve better as is my right to say so,if you think i personally attack you at every opotunity then you are wrong.you seem to take things personally....That might sound big headed but it's true .give me all the stick you like but we have the terms and conditions to prove it . That you cannot doubt .
just for the record i am one of "the losser's" in this agrrement,my question to you is do you think it's right i should lose out ?

Actually Dingo I took two days strike! How many did you take before RM came to the table. What we did dingo was abide by the 2007 Pay and Modernisation agreement, the buy down of hours and the 50/50 savings share scheme, all agreed by the CWU and honoured by Royal Mail, we didn't get on our knees for it. The CDV trials began here before the CWU changed tac and declared no savings. Today dingo you spent a rewarding day doing what you were elected to do, there's no heroics involved. It would seem that the CWU are having a loaf thrown at them dingo not crumbs.
One moment you are representing your members and the next a well known CWU official - I should stay on the one horse if I were you, whichever you are best suited to.
But to get back to the strike - 18 days for London - result, nothing - 2 days nationally, the "interim" agreement and the strikes called off - that's the result of a NATIONAL UNION.

Re: LTB / COMMS UPDATE
Ok dvbuk talks started in july after the 2nd London dispute and the union were very close to resolving the dispute prior to any national action . However when the leaked newsnight document was revealed then the pec had no choice to call national strike action . But be in no doubt we were reasonabily close to the interi
agreement . Mucker I and the members I led took 20 days of strike action to get us into the talks and that is a sacrifice which needs to be apperciated . Your constant slagging off needs to justify your opposition .

Re: LTB / COMMS UPDATE
Reasonably close but not close enough - you took 20 days - we took 2. That is fact NOT conjecture - the appreciation should perhaps be directed to the tens of thousands who supported the national call and thereby GUARANTEED Royal Mail came to the table. Apart from London dingo there was also 4 - 500 outstanding ballots which obviously had no bearing on the proceedings.dingo wrote:Ok dvbuk talks started in july after the 2nd London dispute and the union were very close to resolving the dispute prior to any national action .
