Bristol , Solent , South East Wales , Kent ivicta , Eastern 6 , North Lancs and Cumbria have made a decision to vote no.
At least some branches have listened to their members, shame about the rest.
Whats 'Solent'? Dont you mean Portsmouth and District?
Oh what the hell, I and the majority of my office are cancelling our subs if this goes through anyway so it wont matter. [/quot
I think your find your branch is called Solent Amal not postmouth and district. Of course it is your perogative to choose to leave the union the Tories stopped the closed shop. Hope you find not belonging to a union helpful in royal mail.

I can't for the life of me think why you stick by this bunch Big Daz - you're much better than that. I can understand the other two they have more to lose from a NO vote, if it's a yes vote it's just more of the same for them - they aren't involved in the day to day drudgery of a delivery office but you are.

With deals like this it won't matter - if ever there was a sweetheart deal between the CWU and Royal Mail - this is it. Look after the lacklustre leadership and their hangers on and never mind the membership. There may well be a backlash of withdrawal from the union and if that means some have to return to the workplace so much the better.
Daves letter
Transformation to be completed in 2013 with a national profile of 75% full time and
25% part time split.
The agreement
The mix of full time and part time is planned to be around
three quarters full time and one quarter part time by 2013.
So Dave a summary means you change the wording of the agreement then? to your interpretation of it, planned means something different to me than have a profile of
stop the spin, be honest! if it's not in black and white and unambiguous then RM will have a field day
All this time for this?
it's a NO from me
spin on that
If this thing gets in,I hope,(or we), look at what we have accepted in the past in our individual offices.Of course D2D's,(unlimited) are not going to work! We have accepted Geo Route...and it's flawed because it has their parameters. If your saying that you are not prepared to fight them because of that.....then what do you think?
Do you mean it has taken all this time for us to say "Hang on?" "Why was this introduced?"
All of a sudden the union ask us the very same thing...and it is like..."Lets take action!!!"

It is interesting to compare the forecasts with the measures being introduced in the proposed agreement. Some things like later Saturday finishes seem to be more about encouraging staff to leave than to be about meeting operational needs.
I like the way the Finland is implementing the EU directives. Liberalisation has given countries with big populations like Germany an unfair headstart. If the rest of the member states apply the USO to new entrants to the market in the same way that Finland does, the spivs won't be able to cherry pick the most profitable parts of the national postal services.

It is a cheapshot. It would be like one of CWUs negotiators saying to you 'when was the last time you negotiated a national agreement against this backdrop' The when you said you hadn't the negotiator saying 'well you've never done it so you don't know what you are talking about so your opinion means nothing'

Two different scenarios lovejoy.
The fact that i have little relevant experience of the negotiation process means sod all to anybody.
The fact that the some further up the union food chain have little relevant experience of the day to day drudgery of a delivery office means a great deal to many.

Not cheap lovejoy but merely the truth. I told you that truth doesn't come cheap and those who negotiated this national agreement will find out how expensive it is going to be in the end.
I have said before that I have never negotiated a national agreement against any backdrop but I can tell you this I WOULD NOT HAVE AGREED TO THIS AT ANY PRICE - if this is the best they can do without any contingencies or any answers to the charges laid against them but to say it is a good deal, then it does no ones reputation any good by saying it is.

Easy to say that Dvbuk because like I said in an earlier thread you will never have the guts to put yourself in the firing line.

It's hard to take seriously somebody who has no hesitancy in questioning the integrity of some of the posters on here, with remarks like "where were you...etc" but then starts bleating when others do the same back.
