About as likely as a Tristram standing for Labour!

Tristram Hunt, the television historian, will face a challenge from a disgruntled local activist in his bid to be elected in a safe Labour seat. :shhhhh http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/electio ... lenge.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

he even looks like he should be in the Young tories Image

Can a trade union leader stand as a MP? Would there not be a conflict of interests? I mean a (New) Labour MP and a trade unionist, what a contradiction.

Didn't he leave the CWU before becoming a blood sucking parasite? Sorry, I should have said "a current trade union leader."

The unions will come out in favour of Labour, just like they allways do. Too scared of Tories to risk support for smaller centre left/left parties :arrrghhh

On Labour candidates, what exactly did Mr MacLennan, the recent Labour candidate for Moray, say in his allegedly foul-mouthed rants about politicians, including Tory leader David Cameron and Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg ? :shock:

Among the most offensive postings were comments in which he branded House of Commons speaker John Bercow a “t***” and Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg a “b******” and Labour MP Dianne Abbot, a “f******” idiot.

Thanks.
If he had been referring to certain Tory MPs there probably wouldn't have been such an outcry. :Very Happy

We all moan about lying unprincipled politicians ( of all hues ), yet when a prospective candidate gives primae facia truth, he gets kicked out of the campaign - what sort of example is that supposed to set!!!
