Bleedin rain couldn't have waited just 10 more minutes. No! 5 minutes from getting back into the nice warm office it pisses it down. Had to waste 20 minutes of MY OWN TIME drying all my soaked gear off

Raining cats and dogs
I got caught in it today, and i tell you what ive never seen anything like it.It was really dark all morning so i made sure i took my waterproofs? with me,then about 11.45 it started to come down, thunder, lightning and rain like ive never seen before.I sheltered inside someones front door for about 30 mins untill it stoped, and then went on to finish my walk.Met a couple of the lads on the way back to the office, they were soaked to the bone and said the same never seen rain like that before. When i got back the mrs was in the office, she got trapped down stairs in the canteen,it all came up through the drains and has flooded all the basement of our office which includes the canteen, rest area, union room and all our lockers, she said at one point it was a foot deep
This is the 2nd time in a month this has happened, and looks like no canteen untill next week as no one could come round to clear it up.Looks like our DOM will be getting some stick in the morning

Re: Raining cats and dogs
I was going to say "don't you buggers joke about Manchester's rain ever again" - but I'm told the really bad stuff will hit us tomorrow morning. It will be a case of "Harry Potter and the floating Amazon Packets"johnnypick wrote:I got caught in it today, and i tell you what ive never seen anything like it.It was really dark all morning so i made sure i took my waterproofs? with me,then about 11.45 it started to come down, thunder, lightning and rain like ive never seen before.I sheltered inside someones front door for about 30 mins untill it stoped, and then went on to finish my walk.Met a couple of the lads on the way back to the office, they were soaked to the bone and said the same never seen rain like that before. When i got back the mrs was in the office, she got trapped down stairs in the canteen,it all came up through the drains and has flooded all the basement of our office which includes the canteen, rest area, union room and all our lockers, she said at one point it was a foot deepThis is the 2nd time in a month this has happened, and looks like no canteen untill next week as no one could come round to clear it up.Looks like our DOM will be getting some stick in the morning

Don't take any risks unless you see Leighton floating by - then try and get your foot on his head.mrlovepantsuk wrote:it was raining as early as 4am this morning and still is now. got soaking wet on my delivery, will probably have a few problems in the morning on the parts of my delivery down by the river.

The south's monsoon season is on us, didn't it rain it's a**e off this morning! Sheltered for a while at last bag drop but looked like I would be there for a while so I pulled the pin and got it finished, don't mind the wet too much it's watching the mail turn back to pulp before your eyes, only 300 odd years and the waterproof pouch is not invented yet. RM shoes have a copy of the local paper stuffed in them will be making a rare appearance wearing trainers tomorrow.
