Yes i could but i doubt it would get me anywhere. :sad:

Were going to make up the money to £10 a week and see how it goes with the leaflets. If they become too much then he says he will still give it up, as before i cant blame him.

wtf a kid getting payed the same as im going to , to deliver d2d?

ill be gettin about a tenner a week to deliver 800 x 6 d2d

IS royal mail having a laugh
one day part timers will have the same right as full timers

Just thought i would update and conclude this thread.

Well it all had to end in tears when TNT got involved. :sad:

We had a letter today from TNT distribution telling us that out lads delivery services will no longer be required. The reason they claim is a move to a larger economical motorised distribution network.

We telephoned our current distribution delivery driver only to find out he has also been sacked. He told us TNT are going to use a labour force of agency staff on minimum wage who will cover many rounds a day using trolleys continually re loaded from a van. :shock: Sounds kinda like park and loop ? :left:
He recons the new workforce will be mainly made up of migrant workers which are more than happy to do the work in the warm summer but will drop like flies to any inside work once the winter comes.

Anyway his very upset about the whole thing but not only for himself but also for the kids who he feels he has let down. Some have passed the round down from brother to sister/brother and have been “his boys” for many years. :sad:

If their is one thing to be gained from this it is how life and life in a capitalist country can be so bad good luck to your son and may he learn that lesson before i did and get a good education.

His off to college in Sept to train to be a professional chef. :Very Happy His also secured a Saturday job at our local pub / restaurant which pays him £36 so his not actually all that bothered.

His sister who is 14 was hoping to take it over and has been doing most of the delivery these passed few weeks but that of course wont be happening now. :sad:
