I am sure you will voice your concerns there!welshy808 wrote:We are currently expected to prep and deliver 20% of up to 3 D2D items per Day within duty time, no overtime can be paid against D2D, but sufficient time must be given for the preparation and delivery of D2D's. Therefore if any one Preps them or delivers them outside their duty time they are the people who have put us in this situation. As I said before D2D are already part of my workload.Big Daz wrote:welshy, look at the word I used after workload "planning"
At the moment we are expected to manage 20% of DTD reagardless and time to do this is not built into the actual planning of the duty.
That is what CWU mean by DTD into workload correcting the above. Perhaps a different term should have been used in the proposed agreement
So if sufficient time must be given for the Prep and delivery of D2D, what has this proposed agreement gained. Nothing, except removing the payment and possibly if we are ever so lucky Royal Mail might just might increase the call rate in Georoute.
What the CWU means by D2D into workload counts for nothing until they agree call rates, walking speeds etc.
Daz you are trying to defend the indefensible.

Why cant they remove the cap and continue to pay us for what we deliver at the presentation dave ward said that in wages it costs £50 million plus to pay us for 3 so logic suggest that if we remove the cap and double it this would equate to £100 million plus but under the aggrement remove the cap Royal Mail continue to pay £50 million to the postmen and get to keep any new profit generated to me this seems unfair we are paying for our own pay rise I FOR 1 WILL BE VOTING NO

There are no absurd payments for DTD, as there are no payments at all for DTD under the proposals.

You're not going to believe this deal we've got for you after struggling for 4 long months - why most of us have segs on our backsides, though that was true before these negotiations - we've managed to get D2D into work loadfishtank wrote:Big Daz wrote: There are no absurd payments for DTD, as there are no payments at all for DTD under the proposals.

And dont forget, if you are lucky to be getting W/S sometime in the future-until then no £800 before implementation, so if your not due todvbuk55 wrote:You're not going to believe this deal we've got for you after struggling for 4 long months - why most of us have segs on our backsides, though that was true before these negotiations - we've managed to get D2D into work loadfishtank wrote:Big Daz wrote: There are no absurd payments for DTD, as there are no payments at all for DTD under the proposals.

- no don't thank us, you haven't heard the best bits, they have been uncapped
- wait the best is yet to come, you're taking a pay cut
We know it's bloody absurd, can anyone top that?
get them till 2011/12- tough
If the agreement is a yes vote & W/S is introduced in 2011 say, anyone leaves before then is that bonus split between remaining employees
at time of implementation or do any subsequent new starters after time of signing, on implementation of WSM revisions also get the
lump sums.

Current offer is £20.60 for uncapped D2D and no Early shift AllowanceRanger wrote:Average Payment £12.39 ? Absurd payments for D2D NO
Working with our office average of 500 calls currently the pay is £12.37 Early start allowance ,plus 3 times D2D at 1.67p each at 500 calls ,not including heavier D2Ds at higher price, equals £8.35 times three equals £25.05 plus the ESA equals £37.42.
Now take away the cap and put 10 D2Ds onto that sum and you get £ 83.50 plus the ESA which equals £95.87.
Now I have to go to my members and tell them that instead of getting £95.87 they will be getting £20.60 ,erm methinks I am going to get lynched

Yes but not the way you would like Daz.

Now take away the cap and put 10 D2Ds onto that
Your wording implies 10 going on top of the three items we allready have. The cap is three and three with a ten on top is 13.
Still a optimistic figure IMHO.
Yes we wil gain extra contracts, but I really do not belive their will be a mad scramble away from TNT, DIY and local papers to use RML. Unless of course there is sudden urge to belive RML on DTD? I do belive that whilst we are told the value of contracts turned down, we are not actually told how many contracts are being turned down and whether these contracts turned down are national or on a more localised basis such as a local garden centre being delivered in a single cluster area.
