larger print for box labels-information please

Post by alggomas »

Anyone working in labels dept any information about INCREASING the size of the print [fonts] on BOX LABELS please?

I have seen bigger print on box labels from other parts of the country. management here think it cannot be done without investing more money in new machines.

Our print size is about 10 points! Ideally would like about 60/70 points much bigger, but only for the area e.g. N1 N2 or E3 E14 etc.

Main reason is boxes are being put on wrong yorkies or people cannot read label 'cause the print is too small.

I think management here would be willing to "order" from another mail Centre if the increase in font size were possible.

Suggestions please?

Thanks.

There is confusion with the 1st and 2nd class stamps with the large 1 and 2 [the same as the "large" stamps for flats].

People think they are ok for flats too. I suggest, and it would be a first for RM, is to imprint braille for 1st and 2nd class stamps with a normal sized 1 and 2.

I wouldn't of thought there was such a thing as a 'label department' although apparently we do our own printing now.
You need to bring this up at WTLL sessions,or if no joy do the e-mail Allan thing.

Good idea though as now and again we get missorted box's.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
