Full time working;- The agreement highlights that our industry will primarily be full time working so much so it has highlighted a 75 % - 25% split in full time / part time jobs. This is a fantastic opportunity for us in the North East to increase on average 15% of the part time workers to full time.
I'm all for balance, but is the above not misleading?
The split is national!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

North East Division couldnt even fight for or keep 60/40 split so to tell us this is a "fantastic opportunity" to increase FT by 15% is.

Either Laughable, misleading, taking us for mugs or "THE DEAL OF THE CENTURY" for North East members.

I know what option i would choose and it aint the last in capitals.

Why not, every one else is. Do you think the people in this country will see us as a 'special' case? I don't think so.

The problem IS - people read this sort of misleading literature and expect it if the agreement is ratified.

There are so many errors it just isn't true - for an organisation purporting to represent the workforce it is a bloody disgrace, they deserve to lose their members for pulling a stunt like that.

I would say "It's a fantastic opportunity" to save £3 quid a week.

But that is what marks our country out as being a nation of buffoons, NT. Those at the bottom, apart from a few, clamour for longer hrs, more workload, and for less pay to boot!!!
While at the trough of plenty, the likes of Crozier and Walsh gorge themselves on £millions, without no apparent let-up.
