Re: SCRUTINIZING THE COUNT ?
Not just any member of the public but they do have people who oversee it and there used to be an advert for cwu members to volunteer. Not sure if they still do that? Re: SCRUTINIZING THE COUNT ?
Not sure if I remember this correctly but I seem to recall that they ask for 1 or 2 volunteers from the CWU grass roots members to oversee or visit the count. If not would it be worth a branch putting a motion forward for this to happen.
Ps anyone looking for the laws will need to check under the rules for Non-statutory ballots.

I applied once, but I seem to recall it was not for national agreements, I think it was internal CWU elections.

Re: SCRUTINIZING THE COUNT ?
Who sends out the voting papers, where does that list come from, and how do Polaris identify that the paper is genuine.?
All areas where abuse can take place. Not that I am suggesting this will happen, but i do not think there is anything that is related to money or status that in this world of ours that is not open to abuse. There is plenty at stake and we know who has the most to lose.

Why would they be expending so much effort trying to convince us to vote yes......if they were just going to rigg the vote?creedscat wrote:We live in a corrupt society, everything from the government down so expect this to be rigged which results in a yes vote :cfo :mfodonut wrote:Just wondered if anyone independent from the company who does the ballot count could witness the actual counting because to be totally honest .....

Re: SCRUTINIZING THE COUNT ?
can only imagine how the 'count' will be done behind closed doors with hayes &wards influence, perhaps bending figgures to the yes camp
iv'e no faith in the cwu whatsoever, supported them for 27 yrs only to be dissmayed at the way things are being done at H.Q

Nooooo, that wouldn't be fair....our DOM has said we can all go in his office individually and tell him how we want to vote, then he'll relay the result for our office....steven100 wrote:Isn't it going to just a show of hands
Looks like a yes vote I reckon.

This has to be a joke right
If not:
No No No
The DOM is not allowed to do that for a National Issue. Its a secret Postal ballot and he should not be doing something like this. The whole office should refuse and if he insists then its a grievance for intimidation simple as
