Their in is the problem in our office we can only get our meal relief not any more some offices do not even get paid that or O/T which has become a problem in our office!. Now i cannot say how good or not your office is but they are using London in our team brief yet again but having said that we were all out before the first big one!. This is a big problem even for London as they will seek too impose all that has befallen us and those who are worse than us!. THIS AGREEMENT DOES NOT HAVE ANY NATIONAL STANDARDS NOR WORK RATES OR EVEN A PROCEDURE FOR NON COMPLETION AND A FAIR AND BALANCED NEED FOR ALL THESE ISSUES!.POSTMAN wrote:Depending on where you are,if your area is a 3 O'Clock last letter, you can have 2:30 finish time, with 15 mins back to the DO and 15mins pouching off at the DO,so you finish at 3.
You could even put that forward 30mins,you could put 30mins of your meal break at the end and finish everything at 2:30.
4 O'Clock last letter you could finish at 3:30 if that's any good.

I think that what is more likely is that managers will time your duty to end at 3.30pm and 4.30pmPOSTMAN wrote:Depending on where you are,if your area is a 3 O'Clock last letter, you can have 2:30 finish time, with 15 mins back to the DO and 15mins pouching off at the DO,so you finish at 3.

The agreement says LAST LETTER not finishing time
This is how it is worked in offices in this area and I expect this will become widespread.
Its the CWU who are infering that you can finish early not RM.
The CWU have a vested interest getting a YES vote by telling the UP side as they see it...But RM want the MAX out of us, and will push it to the limit ( and beyond if they get the chance ).

I suspect your right Cut Off King and certainly any office with hopes of a 4 day week or a 9 day fortnight can forget finishing at 2.30.Cut Off King wrote:I think that what is more likely is that managers will time your duty to end at 3.30pm and 4.30pmPOSTMAN wrote:Depending on where you are,if your area is a 3 O'Clock last letter, you can have 2:30 finish time, with 15 mins back to the DO and 15mins pouching off at the DO,so you finish at 3.

Last letter and shift end are not the same thing.
If,as i,m led to beleive, that some rural dutys are to be 4.00 pm last letter, then what time will your shift end.
4.30?
And what time will it start?

If this latest attack on our working conditions, endorsed by our own union, gets voted in by the braindead, there'll be many people who'll feel that this will be the final straw.

Re: will finishing later effect you?
It will affect me in three different way
1. Studying - Less recovery time and available time to do it in afternoon / night
2. Football - How I am suppose to go to Villa Park to watch football at 3.00pm if I finished at wrong time. I can't plan anything due to changing walks.
3. Afternoon nap - where can I fit it in if I finished too late.
But
It wlll allow me to stay out to do dancing for another hour in the night or get more sleep in the morning.

Will you still want your rep to help people in the office?spoodoo wrote:IF ITS A VOTE YES THEN ALL WE DO OR IM DOING IS KEEPING MY £3 PLUS A WEEK AND COMING OUTTA THE UNION .£3 = A NICE COLD PINT MMMMMM
Or are you just content to take all the s**t RM throw at you?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

CCR,If this agreement is accepted what makes you think RM will be throwing sh*t at us?
I thought that was one of the main arguments for a yes vote, that we need to place our trust in Royal Mail bury the hatchet, move on etc....
If you truly believe that RM will revert to type after this agreement is accepted i would think carefully before you vote.

We will still be workers and they will still be managers.fishtank wrote: bury the hatchet.
Our priorities will never cosily co-exist. Attendance procedure, performance standards etc. These will still be contentious issues especially with 12 000 jobs to go through "natural wastage".
I like those 3 words in your post though
How was the snow today?

Re: will finishing later effect you?
But, with this deal, on top of the last 3 or 4 shyte deals the CWU have landed us in, colleagues like spoodoo will, and have been for the last seven years, take a hell of a lot of shyte from RM.clashcityrocker wrote: Will you still want your rep to help people in the office?

Perhaps, it might be a good idea if the CWU stopped arming RM goons with the foul smelling ammunition?
Protecting it's members terms & conditions of work should be the CWU's No.1 priority, not aiding & abetting Royal Mail in it's lunatic idea of so-called "modernisation", which we all know is just simply a euphemism for chronic and ceaseless cost-cutting.
