Gilbert and Sullivan Society says lost post is a crisis

A Bristol amateur theatre company says it is in crisis because of missing post meant for its box office.
The Gilbert and Sullivan Operatic Society claims post - sent to a Post Office Box - is being delivered to the wrong street, or going missing.

Allan Bennett, the chairman of the society, said that Royal Mail had conducted an investigation but told them there were no problems.

The Royal Mail told BBC Bristol they could look into the issues again.

"We're concerned to hear of the problems that the customer has been having with their PO Box," a statement from the company said.

"If they have further evidence of the issues with their service, then we'd be happy to investigate further."

The society paid £126 for the PO Box because several members run the box office from their homes.

"To help cope with the stress of mixing their mail with our mail we paid for a PO Box," said Mr Bennett.

"The mail goes to Cambridge Road but there's also a Cambridge Place and our mail has been going there.

"The guy at Cambridge Place has been very good and come and handed it back."

But Mr Bennett said some mail sent to that address "hasn't turned up at all".
