all london has said is we wont even consider this deal until we get our 9 day fortnight and 4 day weeks up and running before the ballot doesnt mean it will be a yes vote maybe other parts of the country should show some balls and take notice

Re: London makes progress
Sounds from dingo like your division will be recomending a yes if yous get them back. For the record yous are deffanetly entiteld to them back phase 2 of flexability clearly states innovative duty structures can be agreed locally, whats the point of agreeing them in line with the agreement only to have them removed under EA.chickenwittle wrote:all london has said is we wont even consider this deal until we get our 9 day fortnight and 4 day weeks up and running before the ballot doesnt mean it will be a yes vote maybe other parts of the country should show some balls and take notice

Re: London makes progress
So you don't get them back, they call the ballot, what do you do? More to the point you do get them back and then RM decide to pull them again what do you do?chickenwittle wrote:all london has said is we wont even consider this deal until we get our 9 day fortnight and 4 day weeks up and running before the ballot doesnt mean it will be a yes vote maybe other parts of the country should show some balls and take notice
Strike? No chance, take a look at the agreement. Against the odds you manage to get a ballot for action, do you think the CWU will call a National Ballot? Again against the odds say they did - do you think they'd get a mandate? No me neither.

Re: London makes progress
The only thing is see with the agreements, local agreements is that RM have achieved a divide and conquer across Britain. I can't wait to see London, Mail centres getting the chop or hours chopped because they will expect the rest of uk to follow suit and support them when on strike(this will happen), sorry guys it won't happen. Through the picket line we go. That is all this deal is aimed. Divide and Conquer. Wait and will see the end of the CWU. Shame on you CWU leaders.

Re: London makes progress
I think the comments on this thread are extremly harsh on our London colleagues. Dingo started this thread about progress in London, once again hes a London rep! stating whats happenning in London. The CWU HQ are backing this deal irrespective of what the London position is, or any other area for that matter.
On the actual vote it's 1 member 1 vote (London wont decide).....if you don't like the deal (as i don't) then VOTE NO!

Re: London makes progress
Looks like the CWU want to foster national anger against London, just like their good buddys in RM management.
Just as with the 2007 P&M agreement, if this 2010 & Beyond crap gets voted in by the Turkeys, London will be most militant in it's resistance of the agreement's more harmful aspects to members T&C.
Looks like the plan to ensure London becomes isolated when this happens, has begun implementation.
Looks like colleagues elsewhere in the country, are falling for it hook, line, and sinker. Small wonder that shyte like absorption is a daily, sometimes even on a feckin' Saturday, regular occurrence for colleagues north of Watford Gap.
