How does Pegasus know how many times you stop, or how long it takes for someone to answer the door?
that's the rub isn't it. If you don't program the right information it is never going to work. A computer program does not actually have to go out in the rain and deliver anything, wait for people to answer the door or sort out numerous bag drops. So, unlike the pope, it is not infallible.
This georoute I've heard is a bit like pacman walking your delivery, does it stop each time it crosses the road waiting for traffic and as for the time people spend hunting for keys before they open the door.

Not that I agree with it but those variable are covered in Pegasus/Gio-route. They are called the call rate (percentage of addresses visited) and attendance rate (percentage where customer interaction is required). There is also I believe an average of 8 seconds per address to put the mail through. These variables should be averaged out during the planning stage.
Just a small point of order, Teebs ( and not against yourself - you're only stating what Pegasus is supposed to do ), but is the average based upon the office ( rich area, lots of packets, SDs, RDs vs poor area, far less of all of them ), based upon the duty ( ditto - but on duties rather than areas ), or based upon the DOMs interpretation ( just when you thought it was safe to go out on delivery... )
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?
Mail delivery; those that can, do, those that can't, MANAGE!

Well I was told its the average for each walk so its important that the duty holder has input and if you hear rumours of one coming in try to keep a daily count so you have documentary proof.
