Perhaps. Perhaps we ALL get £20.60 per week and EVERYBODY discovers what seven D2D per week is like.

Once again Royal Mail rewarding laziness or incompetence. Those postmen who lost contracts because they failed to deliver due to laziness or, more likely, poor management will be rewarded with £20.60 a week. Presumably no companies will be rushing to reinstate D2Ds in these areas either so they have had a great result.

Before it was voluntary now it will be obligatory and are they going to sell that - you'll be needing a wheelbarrow to get the stuff to your frame :Very Happy but hey you are getting 20.60 less your ESA of course - so that'll be 8 quid.

Just wonder what sort of profit that will generate over say just 5 lots a week..................even taking into account dropping the price - because make no mistake that is what this exercise is about, undercut the opposition with a GUARANTEED delivery at a lower cost with virtually NO add on costs - hope the NHS is going to be well equipped with trusses.

I'm afraid this will be a deal too far for the CWU - we hear tell of people being the architects of their own downfall but an organisation as big as the CWU...... they should have stuck with the membership and not been seduced by empty promises from Royal Mail because as soon as the membership falls to a certain level and it is in freefall and still falling especially with this deal they will be dead in the water. It will become the CW WHO.

3 d2d at present on 500 drops is a nice few quid a week , some rural walks or those with around 250 - 350 drops will stay still or get a pay increase .... i calculate a pay decrease of around £400 , come on local reps we need less drops or more money, a good portion of us gonna be delivering 2000 more items (based on 6 d2d) for the same money .

Had our meeting last week. Ok it makes sense in saying that 100% call rate with d2d every day will secure a full time job etc etc etc. BUT i just cannot vote in a £60 drop in wages each month and have to work till gone 2pm on sat, sorry i cant do it.

Worse is the thousands of pounds they are paying the managers each year in bonuses when on a sat they are going home as soon as the last man is out on delivery. As it is now i find that they have left 2.5 hours before me

Maybe this really is the begining of the end but its a totally unrealistic deal and i wont be voting for it.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........
