Hi Woofwoof, No floater is not up anyone R's and no I'm not having a F'in laugh as you put it. It's just the way it is in our office. The union is strong in our place and we don't take any of it from any of them.

Never thought of it that way. Good point.BELIAL wrote: Following that logic D2D would never exist.
Clearlythese advertisers make a rational cost benefit analysis and mass random mailings deliver the goods.Logic dictates that any drop in delivery costs will enable RM to offer lower prices and as a consequence the volume of D2D mail will increase in proportion to the cost reduction/benefit increase
The bad news ? Volumes of D2Ds look set to rise steeply.
The good news ? With a brain like yours, you will never get a job as a Royal Mail manager

Thanks for saying I would never get a job as a manager as thats the last thing I do want. I can't see what that has to do with the subject of D2D though.

In our office floater is part time so not only is he doing saturdays he's getting paid less for itfishtank wrote:shifty sid wrote:Just a thought...Most people do all there D2D over 5 days but in this deal whoever works your day off will have to do some as they will get there money. I know that might sound daft but some people do the lot and the day person doesn't.
One of the interesting discrepancies of this deal is that the floater will always have D2D on a saturday but the dutyholder will not.

Not if the floater does not work Saturday. Another way round it though is to rotate the day off so it evens it out for all including the floater
