If my Mail Centre goes I will go to deliveries it is not bloody hard. EX Forces so give me a break I have dug plenty of trenches in my time tabbed across bloody miles of countryside carrying huge amounts of kit! IF a no vote comes in we will see if deliveries will be able to carry the day. If the union asks me to go out I will be there until the bitter end but remember when we go back in because people can't afford to stay out in one go more than 4 weeks we will see how breaks.
RM will just lock the gates and you will go back in under different contracts! Happy days are coming!

pcb you wrote this in an earlier post.
pcb wrote:Shadow: you should pick and choose when to fight and when to tactically retreat. Otherwise you lose all the time!
The problem with that is If you tactically retreat all the time, you also lose all the time.

pcb wrote:The future of RM when no vote comes in. CWU sidelined, Parliament push through privatisation. Pay freeze, individual units strike, 3 weeks later after lockouts members go back, no public support, no TUC support. RM push through changes with scant regard to members working conditions. VRs given out with minimum payouts, a take or leave it offer on displacement, D2D put into workload without payment, compulsory redundancies with minimum pay outs and the list goes on!
but those who hold out for a no vote will at least still have there pride !!!!!!!!!! you sadly wont :no no

As per normal comments that don't answer the question. Who are you going to send in to negotiate and what are you asking for? Then what are you going to do when RM say FXXK XXF! Time to be honest in the last IA just how many stayed out and how many crossed the picket line. Its all about numbers. How long do you think you are going to have to stay out? If deliveries get a no vote I will be there on the picket line till the end. I bloody well hope you know what you are doing and have not stuck your heads in the sand! As I keep saying D2D is not a given, it could disappear next month. RM lost 92 million worth of deals last year with regard to D2D, do you think RM can sustain that?

You must have realised by now pcb there's many on here who talk a good fight (as the 2007 debacle proved) but that's all, just talk.

No, is an option! Posties need to read the deal properly, there are too many 'Phases' to achieve, the deal is unrealistic and misleading.
