After our meeting yesterday with the office Onion rep who claimed deal was 'poor' but advice was to accept it anyway!

This morning I go in and our manager is asking us to stay strong stick together and say 'NO' you couldn't make this stuff up|!!

A lot will lose their jobs and will end up back on the floor and they know that so have a few for some time we have more than a few ex- managers in our office!.

I know where you are coming from but,to me,there is something intrinsically wrong with crossing a picket line. You just don't do it.

Anyway,my managers are actually not that bad tbh.I know a lot are from what I hear and see,but we are quite lucky in that respect.
s**t rolls down hill, they're just the stop before us in my eyes.I'd probably back them.

I think it depends on your individual managers - if they all give a view that they did not give a f*ck about you & your mates, laughed at you on your pickets & quite frankly are not worth p*ssing on if they are on fire, then you MUST cross their picket line ( if only to show the senior mgrs how little difference lineos make to the running of an office ).

However, if there is one, that always asks for favours, never expects you to do something he or she wouldn't do, and generally treats you as an equal human being, then I think it comes down to your conscience ( I would cross - cos the only manager that fits that description is an acting lineo & will probably get bumped down before a strike....and I know of a manager itching to get people coded, grabs a PT del ( done as docket & paid at SA rate ) as often as possible, regularly ghosts his OT and brags about the docket he's getting and rarely seen in the office in the afternoon when the sun shines ( why sit in a boring office when the golf course is calling? ) Seeing him on a picket, as I walk past, I'd flick him the vicky so fast, I'd snap my wrist!
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

I would love it if Workers and Managers go on strike at the same time, but that is about likely as Emile Heskey winning the golden boot in the world cup.
