Your dim is wrong Pinky but it's not surprising as the agreement talks of a non-pensionable supplement but this is the bit that is important.
Individuals in receipt of pensionable allowances incorporated into this payment will retain full pensionability of those elements on a reserved rights basis.
Although i have seen those words "reserved rights basis" before. :hmmmm

fishtank, did you get the "Manager Briefing" at your WTL session ?
In it, it says that the supplement is non-pensionable. You'll be telling me next that they're telling porkies....surely not :chuckle

Being a reserve and covering various convey duties throughout the year I think I'm not going to lose out much plus I only get £6 ESA but this deal is the biggest pile of s**t for deliveries I have seen in a long time.......not quite as big a pile of s**t as SDD though.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

As a D2D baron , I'm gonna loose £96 ,000,000 pa but on balance what with greater union input and cast iron assurances on maximum compulsory redundancies ,it's a yes from me

postie99 wrote:LMFAO...i average £27.00 a week doing D2D at the moment so would loose £7 a week....oh forgot i'm P/T that will be about £12 a week bieng on a pro rata payment. So can someone tell me why i lost money standing at a gate giving the union my full backing only for them to come back at a later date to say "Thanks for your support but we would like you to take a pay cut" especially since the cap on 3 D2D is gonna be lifted.
Would they not have been better just agreeing to 5 D2D doing 1 a day which would put extra money in everyones pocket?? or is that to simple.
this is a good point, delivering 5 d2d items a week would bring in millions in extra revenue, while at the same time still pay the d2d payment, meaning you earn additional money... with the cap taken off the d2d items, which is a joke, whos to say we could be doing any amount of d2d, 7,8 or 9 lots... for nothing, but a delivery supplement, which in future pay talks could then be removed like the early shift allowance,,,,,, in the 2010 pay deal,, the future bleak... in my view.

also our colleague shares that was already ours, seems to me, been now shifted into the 2010 deal as a carrot on a stick, this was already ours, thats a joke to me...

The way I look at it, is if a fulltimer loses his ESA (£12 odd) plus on average a further tenner a week d2d money (many will be losing much more) then, given that the working week has bee reduced from 40 hours to 39 hours, you are going to have to work 42 hours (3 hours overtime p/w) just to be in the same financial position as we are right now.

The supplement work out at an extra £0.53 per hour on our hourly rate. For that we will be expected to deliver an unlimited ammount of d2d's. Make no mistake, we will be absolutely flooded with them.

All I seem to read is how much money delivery staff are going to loose. For years delivery staff at my office have not wanted to do D2D, would NOT care if they never got anymore, the loss of money did not bother them, they just hated doing them .

Yeah, but now we are going to be doing them (uncapped) AND not recieving the accustomed payment.

Absolutely detest the things and wish I never had to post a single one again ever, not read every post on this thread or others but as anyone realised that as they are now going to be (if voted in ) 52 weeks which means we could end up doing a full walk of them on christmas eve

I cover 703 residential calls on my walk , so get £11.74 per D2D contract at the lowest pay rate, last year I earned over £1500 in D2D payments. If/when this gets voted in (as I have no doubt it eventually will!) it will take away completely all my ability to save ANY money . That means no more holidays for my family , no treats/days out , it will completely turn my life upside down.

If they want us to deliver 6+ D2D a week then at least pay us for them , crikey I've been a postie for 12 years and the pay rate is the same now as it was then.

around the 600 call mark is the average for my office but there are a couple of walks with over 800 calls these lads are going nuts over this fiasco of an agreement. I can certainly see myself looking to transfer to a mail centre or seek alternative employment.
I`ll gain as I usually don`t do D2D`s being a cover with everyone else wanting the monies from them. BUT I still don`t agree with what they have offered the rest of you.
LOL , as cover do you think that the posties of the walks you cover will do your 20% for you whilst you get paid for doing none?

I agree with your first point. However, you have to remember that the early shift allowance is pensionable, so you WILL lose pension contribution and benefit. What I cannot get my head around, is that people who do not do D2D, such as staff in the callers office, and the ones running the Walk Sequencing machines etc, will ALSO get the payment, even though they won't have to do them. :hmmmm
The early shift allowance that's been incorporated into the supplement, i'm sure remains pensionable :hmmmm
At least that's how i read it :Very Happy
Mmmm, not sure about that, but I've been without my computer and just got back on line with my new one, (the other one died on me just as the deal was being announced). :arrrghhh

basic pay increase is pensionable though, my ESA £4.65 and my payrise £5.20 so I dont loose on pensionable pay, but FT on ESA`1 will have to wait untill 2012 to recoup pensionable pay.

The supplement for me along with the spare from basic increase is £16 X 52 weeks =£832/43 weeks =19.34 to cover DTD payments for 376 calls (80%)

Just a little aside Daz and not a major issue but as D2D under this new agreement will be a Mon-Sat product it will actually be 83.333333333333333%. :chuckle
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
