There is many questions i want answering, ive tried 2 different reps, 3 different managers and none of them can answer. The saturday one included, also where are they losing this 1 hour from if we are going to work a 39 hour week?? That 2% payrise has gone straight away if they are cutting our hours.

The situation is simple people. We are getting NO answers,so its a NO vote. Not that i would of voted for a paycut and longer saturday anyway.

Well it used to be the smell of people making breakfast on a saturday morning that was hard to live with and i suppose that will no longer be an issue.
But the smell of them making dinner may be even harder to take. :cuppa

The agreement says the majority will not start later than 0700, it does not say the majority of us will be starting at 0700.

Similar, but not identical.

As a rep I have not conceeded start times to 0700, untill I have details of run times out of the M.C (it apppears my D.O will have its mail sequenced at the M.C) and have details of how much mail will be on the "wagons" then start times could be anything from 0600 to 0659.

Due to walksorted mail arriving early enough in the morning there is plenty of early starting at my D.O, as soon as start times can match the reality of mail arrivals, early starting will go at my D.O . The mbrs certainly wont come in early and sort flats and packets at the IPS stage.

It makes sense to me to eliminate the cause of early starting at my D.O

Can I ask why mate?
I reckon if the members thought we'd still start at, say, 6 on a Saturday IPS the flats and packets, prep them if need be then when the sequenced mail comes in it's straight into your frames. Leading to a 2 oclock finish -not good but better than 3.

How's this one, same situation as you,our M.C has put duties in & had a repick already, now they realise the dispatch times do not reflect
when mail will be off the machines, no vehicle to convey mails till 8.30 (ready at 7) - SPANNERS

And if it isn't published before the vote, because there is supposed to be a 1in 4 matrix? And if the Revision tools, altlhough touted to be out before the vote, aren't? The workshops will obviously be after a vote so why would we vote YES. You the know old saying "Lets see the colour of the money" - well lets see the extent of the deal before we vote.

Great point mate - no one knows how one in four is going to be achieved.
One of the options seemed to be get a part timer to work Thu-Sat eight hour 20 days keeping his 25 hours. Another one works the same walk Mon-Wed, eliminating the floater.
If I put that to the part timers in my DO I will get lynched.

Daz this is managements take on saturdays

Delivery: Saturdays
Saturdays become part of ‘standardised 6 day workplan’
1500 last letter residential and 1600 rural
Delivers full sequencing on Mon-Sat
Commitment to at least 1 in 4 Saturdays off for the majority of delivery staff
Joint national review on progress

It is short and to the point and does what it says on the tin.Now your statement...The agreement says the majority will not start later than 0700, it does not say the majority of us will be starting at 0700

How many different ways can you spin that without actually breaching the words of the agreement?

99% start at 0700 1% start at 0900?
51% start at 0700 49% start at 0900?
Anything in between?
Still no breach of the agreement though. :cuppa

I think most people are forgeting that the times in the agreement are LAST LETTER times, NOT finishing times, most duties will have a SAT. collection attached. + the time that it takes to return to the office & unload / etc. Also the LAW states that at least 20min of your meal relief MUST be taken around half way through your duty.

So forget this nonscence that you'll be finishing at 14.30

Has RM asked Offcom if they can change the last letter time yet? I remember someone posting a few months ago about RM not having asked them for a change in times.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Sorry, no agreement needed with POSTCOMM in respect of TIME OF DEL, just that USO, everyone receives a del/collection daily :wave

Like the 'menu of options' for delivery spans or the performance standards.
The agreement has been published in full, anything else still to be published IS NOT IN THE AGREEMENT!
