Leave. CWU is NOT the only union recognised by Royal Mail. The financial side of the arrangement has been a worrying factor for quite some time and the alternative is much better because it does not rely on the employer to collect your subscriptions for one thing. The day of the CWU is run and it is no longer prepared to negotiate for its members but does all in its power to make sure the CWU as an organisation survives REGARDLESS of the situation the workforce finds itself in.

All CWU members must remain in the union even if it's only to vote HAYES & WARD out of office.

TBH Jockstrapp if I thought there was any likelihood of that I would stay but sadly there isn't and in the back of your mind you know that is true. Their day is done but they won't lie down. They must know this is not a good deal for anyone really and that people are going to be bullied and harrassed even more with this "top 10% of good working practice".jockstrapp wrote:All CWU members must remain in the union even if it's only to vote HAYES & WARD out of office.
They will most likely end up having to amalgamate with another union - if that happens will it be with a union tht is going to be a benefit to the members or of benefit to the elected officials - I leave it up to you to decide.

As a REP i will fight to the end for people and their rights whether a yes or no deal!
I am not going to promote this deal to members at all.
What I will do is to try to explain, to the best of my understanding of it, what it means to people.
I have my own opinion to this deal and it echoes a lot of people's on here, I am in position for my members, im selling nothing!

Always be one step ahead, play their game but be wiser. Revenge is sweet.

The so called deal is a joke, and I'll be voting against it. Whatever the result, the fight must go on to strive for job security, a decent wage and conditions, and to provide a decent service to the public. To continue this fight, we need to be in a union, and as there is no alternative, I'll be staying in the CWU.

My reasons for staying in are you cannot change anything from not being within and whatever the future holds this may not be our last battle!.

I will stay in the Union so that i still have the option to vote.
From what I've understoodfrom reading the Agreement , we are geting royally shafted.
Note sure what i went on strike for. Hope Billy and Dave get "the boot".

Mr Hayes and Ward will not be around forever so whoever comes after them may well be the bees knees and restore the faith some of you are rapidly loosing.
I would suggest those branches and reps that are unhappy seriously start thinking about PEC and officer nominations and try for election.

Why all vote for people you have never seen never less heard of is it not time that those who seek election got on the record on here and said it like it is not just jump on a band wagon after the fools all fell of the stage!.Big Daz wrote:Mr Hayes and Ward will not be around forever so whoever comes after them may well be the bees knees and restore the faith some of you are rapidly loosing.
