The DOM will tell them to stick it where the sun dont shine
The DOM fought for a better budget and got it.
If only a few more DOMs would be willing to argue their case rather than meekly saying yes sir. Perhaps UNITE might like to give more of their mbrs some balls.
Don't get too attatched to him Daz
He may not be your DOM forever.

I do not consider super sized deliveries to be compatiable with the following parts, anybody with a half a brain cell knows that.
ensuring that everyone has a productive workload that is safe, fair, and manageable, supported by improved tools for the job.
Fatigue – Understanding, Identifying and tackling the causes of fatigue.
to ensure that workload is assessed and applied accurately, is fair and manageable, and indoor processes and outdoor delivery routes are optimised, efficient and achievable
A business where employee safety is the number one priority. Employees will be provided with modern, appropriate equipment and support and a realistic workload based on fair and transparent standards.
One man's supersize delivery is another man's optimum delivery.
Show me where it DEFINES either in the agreement.

That is very true, Ive got a good 30 more years left with RM and if i diont see a new DOM by the time i retire I would be very surprised. A senior manager may decide a spot of musical chairs with his DOMS is a good idea.

Wasn't all that from the Way Forward Agreement?[/quoteNo it was not in the way forward ,whats your next avenue of attack. the way forward had no delivery section.

To me the lack of a span will be used for fine tuning each duty overall workload.
I will not be having it used for 6/7/8 hour delivery spans.
That would mean all sorts of cahnges to getting deliveries preeped which measn cahnge for the sake of it rather than any actual need.
I want to see all mbrs continue to prep their own delivery, which is what we do in my D.O, even the 20 hour man preps his own delivery which is a lot smaller than a 40 hour duty with 3.5 hour span.
Now if you'll excuse me It time for a chinese and some ale thats spent time in a barrel that previsouly contained rum. Should be a interesting taste!!!!

Actually tt - that was tongue in cheek - you know...........humour - something to chuckle about - a bit like the posts supporting this agreement.

Dawn shift allowance for 4 am starts, is that allowance to further protected with grandfather rights or is it part of the delivery supplement?
Only esa 1&2 is affected,the 5 and 5:30 ones.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

No you will continue to recieve your allowance for 4am starts. Only those who still recieve the £12 and £6 payments which were early shift 1 and 2 which ceased as allowances in 2007 will have that now merged into the supplement.
