How long is a piece if string would be the answer - Educated guesses are looking at around 6 per household. However the agreement used the term "removal of the cap" which means as many as they can get and expect us to deliver.

Re: D2D Presentation.
The agreement says removal of the cap on the number of D2D , but there's no mention of size or weight of items ,or what happens on Bank Holiday weeks or when they arrive 2 or 3 days late.As with the last agreement its a case of "we'll work out the detail later" when it's too late. I think D2D's are a diversion from the real problems within Royal Mail , which they and the CWU are not challenging and that is Downstream access. Is royal mail going down the route of a glorified leaflet distributor or are they going to do what they are supposed to do-deliver letters and packets to every address at a uniform price ? They also talk about competition in the D2D market so why are we delivering stuff for "TNT leaflet drop" ?

Re: D2D Presentation.
So if we agree to this P/T staff get really shafted, a typical pt on 30hrs with no early payment will get £9.31 a wk (75% of £12.42) for del the same d2d's as a full timer even thou that pt has probably done as many if not more hrs than the full timer, sorry but that should be a NO VOTE from anyone with sense.

Re: D2D Presentation.
P/T should get £15.45 per week. 30/40ths of £20.60
I no longer get early shift allowance and I'd about break even with this deal ... until it went to 5 D2Ds and 1 on Saturday.

Re: D2D Presentation.
hi all my area is after 8% cuts went to bristrol yestaday for area meeting i can see what their are getting at with d2d in my case i lose about £15 a week but if you
count d2d as workload it increases by about 1400 items a week which stops their cuts in their tracks that with 1 hour off a week that in its self does not mean
much but added to increase work load with d2d should add enough time to most rounds to make cuts hard to push through plus if their can get d2d bundled in to one envople where will leave us in short term term agreement is painful but mid to long term i do not know its a leap of faith have the cwu got it right!!!!!!

But surely D2D in one envelope will lead you back to those very cuts again.
You can't argue both sides of the same argument.
It's not a leap of faith it's a plunge into a watery abyss.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: D2D Presentation.
your right but if an envelope has the max of 6 in it thats going to be one thick item to put in the frame plus the weight and if i know its a big if but if you carry the right weights in your bag which few in my office do its all about eating time up so there no spare to play with
iam not say its right but i can see where cwu is coming from

we were told at our team brief about 10 lots on average, but to make it easy for us to deliver ,they would be in one envelope, what a joke!!!!!!!!ELLY3535 wrote:DOES ANYONE NO HOW MANY D2D WE WILL HAVE TO DO IN A WEEK WITH THIS NEW AGGREMENT

Looks like we'll all be over our time to deliver the extra workload so if we do some OT to complete the duty then we'll get paid for the D2D... might work in our favour?BELIAL wrote:That's the "into workload ,safeguard jobs" argument buggered thenbanni wrote:we were told at our team brief about 10 lots on average, but to make it easy for us to deliver ,they would be in one envelope, what a joke!!!!!!!!ELLY3535 wrote:DOES ANYONE NO HOW MANY D2D WE WILL HAVE TO DO IN A WEEK WITH THIS NEW AGGREMENT

Well yes it might work in your favour BUT it might not - are you prepared to take the chance - a yes vote brings a life changing certaintyRookiePostie wrote:Looks like we'll all be over our time to deliver the extra workload so if we do some OT to complete the duty then we'll get paid for the D2D... might work in our favour?BELIAL wrote:That's the "into workload ,safeguard jobs" argument buggered thenbanni wrote:we were told at our team brief about 10 lots on average, but to make it easy for us to deliver ,they would be in one envelope, what a joke!!!!!!!!ELLY3535 wrote:DOES ANYONE NO HOW MANY D2D WE WILL HAVE TO DO IN A WEEK WITH THIS NEW AGGREMENT

Not really . Bit like now but worse. You go over and your manager will say "this is part of your managed workload, You are failing to meet operational standards. If you insist on claiming we will discipline you for failing to perform at agreed standard,10% can do itRookiePostie wrote:Looks like we'll all be over our time to deliver the extra workload so if we do some OT to complete the duty then we'll get paid for the D2D... might work in our favour?BELIAL wrote:That's the "into workload ,safeguard jobs" argument buggered thenbanni wrote:we were told at our team brief about 10 lots on average, but to make it easy for us to deliver ,they would be in one envelope, what a joke!!!!!!!!ELLY3535 wrote:DOES ANYONE NO HOW MANY D2D WE WILL HAVE TO DO IN A WEEK WITH THIS NEW AGGREMENT

Re: D2D Presentation.
The d2d's in an envelope is a smoke screen its not gonna happen, the majority of firms that send this work out are'nt going to want there advertisent hidden in an envelope they know most punters will chuck before opening.
I'm sure this rumour is being pushed to make this d2d shafting seem more palatable.
