ICS SUPPLEMENT varies from office to office and i am 99.9% sure it forms no part of the new £20.60 supplement.

However it will not be paid to new starters from April 1st 2010 if deal is agreed.

Oops looks like thats one area our office does ok! although we will get well & truly shafted on the d2d deal if the agreement goes through as we regularly get 3 lots a week - i get approx £30 a week for them

I think they are payments from a past Employee Share of Saving (ESOS) a Pre SDD agreement. Think these are only paid to staff who qualified at bthe time.

ICS and PBS are both 'left over' payments from former Bonus scheme, will confess that my own Unit currently receives £66 per month PBS (+£2.16 ex ICS), since we were a 'High Performing' Office under PBS, we only get this because Royal Mail, in their wisdom, wound up PBS in the Quarter our Postcode Area hit all the quality targets. The ICS payment was anything that was 'left over' after the consolidation of UPAP (here I show my age) and the increase in the Christmas payment to £100. For those keeping up with the acronyms UPAP was what was generated by the previous IWM bonus scheme in the late 1980's/90's. The treatment of Mail Centres in the current proposed agreement is to raise all of them to £8 per week as an ICS payment funded by 'winding up' the remaining monies left over in the former ESOS scheme which was mainly funded by savings in Mail Centres in the first place...........If by now you don't believe in pay simplification you should. HOWEVER, lets move everyone up to the highest level rather than a drive to the bottom (Have I heard that somewhere before?)
