its a good deal,in the long run you will be happy
Good 2 liner though its a pity it keeps popping up in the forums without anything more to explain why you hold that view. The No voters seem to explain their reasons for voting No but you merely restate its a good deal but don't explain why, any chance of doing that.
very simple this will enable people to keep in employment
How much explaining does that need??
Using that argument you could accept a 50% cut in pay, and an increase in working hours at the same time. So sorry yes in my humble opinion its not a full and frank answer as to why you think its a good deal its just the reason why your accepting it.

PHANTOM this has nothink at all to do with working our hours your question frustrates me that much i nearly resulting to posting a lot of obsenities.
I will be voting NO and urging every postie in my office to vote NO for the simple fact of the matter that this agreement is a drop in pay.
Based on the D2DS alone i will be £1380 a year down tally that up with the amount of service i have left and its a whopping £37,260 and you think i should support my union and vote yes,get real my friend.
Saturdays the union new before hand how unpopular saturdays are due to its members having family commitmemts and those that are season ticket holders. What did they do agree to make saturday a normal working day great a move of mastery by them. Why didnt the union put there efforts and time into getting and pushing for the USO agreement to be amended and have us on a Monday/Friday.
So no mate i will not vote yes and urge you all to vote NO

Jesus tonite sometimes i cant beleive what i hear and read Job securtiy how do you figure that out .
So for the sake of job security you would rather work like a slave why dont you let R/M and the union put shackles on you would that make you happy.
Oh it must gurantee jobs cos the union says so . If this agreement is voted through how many EVRS/VRS rae there going to be who picks up the tab once they have all gone because i dont think they are going to recruit on the back of it are they.
The 75% f/t to 25% p/t one part timer in my office will be made to full time this agreement has more holes and leaks in it than the 2007 P/M agreement plus on the money front we are a lot worse off.
What do you think will happen in 2013 once this agreement is up they will rattlle out another agreement with more job losses no recruitment again. Its a ploy to whittle down the business to the bear bones then they can sell us off on the cheap to a foreign owner.
I hope for your alleged job security your rather high up on the seniortiy list or in a few years R/M will be showing you the door.
Rant over

I think some people have had it too easy sorry
Again your head is well and truly in the sand.
You are ignoring key issues here such as the discrimination against part time staff for the door to door payments, holiday pay etc.
I was told that after a six month probation period within RM, I would have the option of going full time. Never happened yet they expect me to work beyond my contracted hours every week or I am pressured into doing so by management.
Don't start all this lucky to have a job bollocks......RM are lucky to have US!!!

I wasnt aware in this country that you could walk from one job to the next .This country hasnt been like that since the 60/70s .I spent time on the dole in the last recession during the 90s so to say we all dont know what its like out there is an insult to our intelligence.
Lucky because i dont have to pay for my uniform whoopie do i didnt join R/M because of the free uniform ,most emplyeers pay sick pay ,yes there are some that dont but most do,a future now you are taking the piss so the future in your eyes is to work like a slave for less come on FFS.
I wasnt aware that any of us that work for R/M have had it easy can you explain this one as that comment is rather baffling.

I think you are lucky, i'ts not like you need a degree to deliver letters now is it, and to be quite honest any one can do your job, no skill required, as long as they can read
you have had it too good over the years,
you need to talk to your lino regarding your hours, good luck!

I've said this before and so have others on here but some people just don't seem to get it. So here we go again, do you not think that what you consider to be "a well paid job, with full uniform, full pay if your sick, and a future" might be due in some way to those "whiners" you're so willing to slag off, who fought for better pay and conditions previously? Or do you think these benefits were given on a plate to people such as yourself, who gratefully accept whatever is dished out to them?

I don't know where you are from to be honest, but it's quite clear that whatever your intentions are and given when you have registered, you are in no way front line staff with RM.
