i think its so they can attempt to sell the "great deal" to the reps, i'm guessing Dave Ward will be there

i do know that they have no chance to sell it to him though, and he has no chance of selling it to us either :no no

Our rep is not happy about the deal along with the rest of us in the office :evil/mad

yep i was there :confused and so was Dave Ward

They put up a good argument and raised a few good points and explained alot about the deal,
However there are still a few things i am not happy with :no no they still have not sold it to me :so there

Never forget this "The words in the agreement are the words" - not some spin, not some presumed behaviour, not some assumed manageable workload, not some assumed delivery span or "an enabler" as it is now called BUT the "overarching" explanation is the words mean the words when it comes to applying the agreement.

Every single member should ask themselves this "If this agreement was worthy of consideration, if this agreement stood the test of scrutiny, if this agreement was beneficial to the membership -WHY DO THEY NEED THE MEDIA CIRCUS FROM LONDON TO SELL IT ACROSS THE NATION"? The answer should be obvious to one and all.

It is baffling to me how you can walk into a room completely against the agreement and walk out willing to sell it to your members.
I've checked the deal and it has not changed one bit since monday 8th but suddenly a few well rehersed words probably written by a professional has changed it into an acceptable deal.
One of the main ways they are trying to sell this deal is by the strange idea that Royal Mail,a company nearing bankruptcy according to the negotiators is suddenly going to throw money around to oil the wheels of this agreement.
Trust me they will not.All the time for D2D into workload will be squeezed out of prep and IPS simply by saying you office EP is 55% or 60% or whatever arbitary figure your DOM decides to come up with and you are not prepping to standard,a standard we are yet to see.
Delivery spans will not as posted by some on here be shorter, they will be as long as RM can get away with, just as Saturdays will be as late as they can get away with.It doesn't say they will in the deal anyway.
Call rates will not increase to 100% with D2D into workload at best you will be looking at a 3%-5% increase.
It doesn't say they will in the deal anyway.
D2D will not be coming in a sleeve.
It doesn't say it will in the deal anyway.

This deal is becoming as famous for what is not in it as what is. :whistle
I know what is not in it,a fair deal for Royal Mail employees.
And no reps meeting will change that fact.
Have we got to the point where we are just going to put all our trust in Royal Mail......Not me i'm voting NO. :wave
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
